By the way very nice truck!
not at all. drove it like that for years without issues. The coil clocking is on the bottum of the spring and the LCA.
Thanks for the compliment. Lots of work but worth every back ache from crawling around under the beast.

Looks like the rear is a little lower and the front is the same as the HD. Looks good!

thank you, I'm actually going to lift the rear up one hole on the shackle so it sits better while towing the Lightning

$146.95 from Summit Racing free shipping & handling, part# M-3000-L. That's the best price I found. Ordered and should have it by the end of week.

On a side note, in looking for 2" drop springs I noticed that for just a pair of coils they can range from $130 to $200 depending on brand. From what I've read the FR L kit is made by Ground Force & sells around $150; springs, shackles, and bump stops. Now a pair of 2" lowering springs from GF runs about $150. Is there that much of a difference between the FR L kit springs and stand alone lowering springs that makes the price difference? Any opinions?

Yeah, that's a good deal with everything you get! My guess is that Ford Racing made a deal with Ground Force and/or Summit for the kit.
I already have shackles and looking to lower front. I did find a Belltech Pro coil set for $152.50 and $138.25 with a promotion code. Also found DJM coils for $150.97 and $144.44 with a promotion code.
The Belltech Pro coil set I guess has a Spacer Kit and allows 2 lowering height options 1" or 2".

Ok, I have a question. Why does everyone want to put stock Lightning/HD coils in their trucks instead of just cutting a coil off regular stock springs?

I suppose personal preference. I started out looking for just a 1" lowering coil and then figure a 2" with a spacer would give me some future options if I decided to go lower. I should have looked more into the Belltech Pro Coils, wasn't aware they included the spacer for a 1" or 2" option. I'm sure its the same $36 Belltech spacer I ordered to give me the 1" lowering coil I was after.

Even with drop coils your still going to have to remove the lower ISO to get the full 2 inches, since they're stiffer springs. Idk how low or what look your going with but heres an example of mines, it has belltech coils and spindles with a djm flip kit. 4'-6' drop.

Lower isolators, the isolators are plastic and rubber rings found below and on top of the coil springs, the one on the bottom is the one that really doesnt make a difference in ride if you remove it in my opinion. i tried the belltech drop coils alone with the lower isolator in place and it looked like a 1' inch drop. With the coils you willl have camber issues but if your only going to stop at 2' drop up front, spindles or lower control arms are better for alignment and you can still use your stock springs.

I'm trying to get a 3" drop up front. I'll be using 2" drop spindles and figured a 2" spring along with a 1" spacer would do the trick.
