Fast Gator,
I know what you mean about the low-tech engine we've got in these L's. Low-tech because this is very old technology. When were Superchargers first on the scene? I know some cars like the Cords in the twenties had S/C and WWII airplanes did too. We've got cast iron blocks and heads. They used a 2-valve head design. What the heck? It works and all this low-tech means it is cheap to produce.
What I wish is that the factory would tune these engines like our aftermarket tuners do, including transmission upgrades.

The cylinder heads are aluminum.

Geesh people, be happy with what you got. May be low tech but sure puts a grin on my face. Try going from a 4.2 V6 to this huffer I have now. Pure fun. High tech equiptment gets a high tech price. Count on the next Gen L's to push 40K or more.

Old technology, Internal Combustion engines are old technology.

Did you know the modular motor was actually the first internal combustion ever produced. Check it out.

Yea, I can't wait for some of that new technology, as the electric motor quietly spins and propels you down the track, with a dull hum and the help of your supercharged BATTERY. Oh Lord, please let the rapture come before that happens.
