In three minutes you can tuck this crude chunk of hardware out of site. If you don't tow, it's super easy. If you're going to tow, just reverse the plugs.

Just loosen the bolt and turn the bracket around. A little tight against the spare but works fine and the price is right.

Another 'freebie'

Did that when I removed the hitch and spare...

Another freebie that some of you may(?) already do but others may not have thought of....as I approach my garage door, I pop the hood. When it's parked (inside), I raise the hood---for the night. Think about all that heat held in by the hood and, since the coolant/water pump is no longer moving, the temp actually rises for a while. I've been doing this for yrs. (got started trying to keep my wife's cat off my car--might end up in the fan with the hood up-j/k). The 'soft' parts will last longer and look fresher. Can't think of any 'down' side. no cost and very little effort!

Thanks trabuco, I'm headed out to do it right now. You wouldn't want to meet at Carlsbad Raceway in a few weeks for an afternoon of test n tune? I think that blackbolt99 and I will be heading that way.

Don't have a date yet, but probably in mid Aug.

I want to do some more tuning on my 60' times.

LIGHTNINROD,

Something I had also thought of and wondered if it would help keep the plastic parts looking new.

Been doing the hood up-cool down thing for years. Helps keep the room above the garage warmer in winter too. Hurts in this GA heat though.
