Define "done"... for the year or forever?
Has anyone ever tried to call the SVT hotline to see if they have an answer for whether there will be an 02???

I had one guy tell me that there gonna combine the Harley Davidson ones with the Lightning also.

Then what about the Lighting Rod concept?

I read (can't remember which publication) that the Harley edition would get the Lightning engine in 2002, but detuned by 20 horsepower. Regarding the Lightning Rod concept, SVT hotline says (for what it is worth) that it will remain only as a concept car......never to see production................of course if it were to be produced, they couldn't tell us at this time, `Wouldn't be prudent.'

I read that '03 F150 Harley will get the L engine, detuned about 20 HP. I dunno about '02. Either way, it's fine because I plan on trading in my '01 F150 Harley for the supercharged one in '03, or if it happens, in '02.

In a way, I kinda hope it'll be '02 because I have a hankering for a supercharger!.

Guys...Lightning Rod is nothing more than an Obvious styling concept. In no way is that vehicle capable of mass production.

I hope they don't put the lightning Rod into production. It's ugly. I do hope though that they start s/c these trucks. Would be nice.

As far as the HD with the Lightning engine in it: BlueOvalNews said it would be 2003 when the HD got the Lightning engine. And yes, it would be a de-tuned engine.
And also, on the de-tuned engine note, look for the Mercury Maurader. A cruiser with a de-tuned Cobra engine. I'm working on my dad to get one.

I hope the next generation Lightnings have more than 2 valves per cylinder.

Question

Maybe this would figure into that rumor???
The Ontario truck plant is to be closed, and this is where the f-150's and Lightnings come from. Possibly the truck production moves to Dearborn???
When this comes about i'm not sure, but maybe some of our Canadian members can shed some light on it. Won't bother me if it's true since the Bolt may be worth more in the long run!!---Jim

I could care less............

I love my truck and really don't care if they make them next year or not

I just hope it is a couple of years before any major changes, so that I can afford to have another one in my garage.
