Brake Pad Upgrades?

So my brakes have been squeeking a little bit more than they normally do lately, and I'm figuring its about time have the rotors surfaced and replace the rear pads pads (the fronts were covered under warranty due to a faulty ABS sensor at the time my IC was replaced). Has anyone swapped to any other brand besides Ford OEM, or a different compound of brake material and had any luck (road race guys I'm looking in your general direction)? If not, have any of you tried different pads on another "performance" vehicle (mustang etc) and noticed any worthwhile difference? And lastly, having different pads front / back wouldn't throw off the computer at all, would it (different force applied to the front / back or something)? Any info is appreciated. Thanks, later...

Ceramic Brake Pads

I have heard that Ceramic Brake pads would be great. A friend has them on his Z06 and they work better than stock and very little dust. Hopefully someone has tried them on their Lightning

I just installed the VGX brake pads and really like them. They stop better and have a lot less brake dust on the wheels, best of all no brake noise. I do have some brake noise from the rear that I never noticed before, but it is very minor compared with before the brake pad switch. I have to check and see if VGX makes rear pads for the truck.
