How much distance does it take to reach 147 MPH (approx)?
That sure looks sweet. I usually pile a jack and a bunch of tools in the back, plus I run a decent amount of tongue weight for trailer stability at 75 MPH. My truck usually looks lowered by the time all this crap goes in it. If it was already lowered I wonder if the weight of my crap in the bed would be too much?
BTW I noticed your trailer only has 1 tire each side. With trailer and car weight combined isn't it right at, or over the weight capacity of the trailer tires?

Congrats Blown! 135 on a stock block is very respectable and happy to hear it held together. Folks just don't realize how much power it takes to run 160 -170 in these bricks but running the mile gives you a whole new perspective as to just how aerodynamically challenged our trucks really are doesn't it? Sounds like you may have had a head wind too which just increases the drag. Glad to hear it was an enjoyable event for you. You should come to Texas at the end of March and run the Texas Mile. I am thinking of running again on this new set up and you could pit with us.
Now where is the video dangit?

I had fun, it was different, and I didn't blow it up, which was a big concern since I really need it to be a "truck." No videos, and to be honest, out there only the 200 MPH cars started looking fast.
I was really shocked how much lowering the truck another 2-3 inches really helped pickup speed (and max top end) for the 120mph+ category... I also have the older diff ratio since I have a 2000, so I have a higher theoretical top end cap. (3.10s vs 3.55s)
I wish more L's would come out for the Texas Mile but I don't think there is much interest from L owners. The 1/4 is where it's at and I must admit I enjoy that too. But it's all good. I am hoping to improve upon my best of 163 MPH at the Texas Mile in March.
I hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
goodluck! make sure your not having to many pilzners when you try it !! I miss that great beer!
