Red face

Ho hum Rollin', it is starting to sound like someone needs a nap. And the F150 is stock not the Dakota, and yes I'd still...Well thats enough of that. I realize that you like your truck and thats great, more power to you, my stomach though gets a little woozy even being around the Tund..Damn there I go again. And ya I know there made in america but that still doesn't make it american, Something about that whole TOYOTA thing. Oh and I will apologize the Tundra my brother smoked must have been a permit driver or something cause, and I hate to say it, got his a$$ handed to him by my mom in her 3.6L V6, 100,000 mile 10 year old T-Bird so I'll let you get a good chuckle about it. And don't be making this personal alright because we're all out here just givin' each other grief and for the most part its all in good fun so that idiot zing, that stung. Let us all know what youir numbers are if and when TuRD haha sorry ever releases the supercharger. Anyway maybe you should start Tundraonline or something so we don't have to get all worked up in here and you can all talk about your perty little toys at the kiddie table and let the big people do the serious talkin'.

Talking

Remember guy's its all in the torque! Something "Richard" may not understand. I have a suggestion for "Richard", put your TuRD blower on and go race a lightning. 99-01 and come back after he's taken you to school.

Do a search on the user name:
red gen 1 94

Check out his sig for a Ford LIGHTNING that has over 100,000 miles.

BTW, have you been over to the f-body boards yet? You'll want to mention that your stock truck will beat them too... Oh, but be sure to specify that you mean the base model with the V6, not the ram-air V8s. Get the picture? No one here really cares if you can beat a regular F150, this is the Lightning board.

Cool Some people just don't get it...

I'll be the first to admit that the Tundra is a nice truck. For the performance you get out of the truck, it's a nice package. However, it's not the smallest motor, last I checked, 4.7 isn't smaller than 4.6. And the 4.6 is 260hp compared to the 4.7s 245hp. Comparing the Tundra to the regular F-150, who cares which is faster? You don't buy a regular pickup because of how fast it is, it's a utility vehicle. That's why God made Lightnings

As for the TRD thing, I think Rollin Tundra has the "bolt-on" syndrome. You know, where adding a bolt on part automatically adds XX amount of power. Even if the TRD blower upgrade DOES add 100hp, that still is not going to get the Tundra anywhere near a bone stock Gen 2 Lightning. Think about it. A stock Gen 1 Lightning goes low 15s in the 1/4 mile. And that's already a 2WD performance truck. You add a Vortech supercharger to it, and you now have a truck that goes mid 14s. This is a blower on top of a motor that has Motorsports heads, intakes, and throttle body, basically a motor that can support a blower well. And you still aren't coming close to a stock Gen 2 Lightning. Now take a Dodge R/T Dakota, a truck that is also designed as a 2WD performance truck. Add a blower to that, and you have a high 13 second truck, a truck that is very close to a stock Gen2 Lightning. The Tundra is NOT a performance 2WD truck. If you add a blower to it, you will most likely wind up with a low 15 second truck. Still respectable, but not Lightning material.
