The most sought after classic in 25 years will be an original matching #'s engined '99-'00 L.
OR
Everyone will be mysteriously only take their L to WillMall2's dealer. You may want to post their name and telephone #.
This truck isn't going to be THAT special.

Don't know how true it is but I do know that they added a larger MAF and some other intake work, which they attributed more power to.

A more agressive computer could have part of the increase.

Only if yours retains the "original" engine and ALL the working original (i.e. the non-leakin I/C) components.
It's kindof a 1/2 j/k,....... kindof.

I'm extremely confused here now I believe. How could your truck run right w/ a 2001 MAF and all the 2001 wiring off of a 2000 computer? Maybe I'm making this too big of a deal and it's a simple answer, but I'm just kindof shocked is all, LoL.

Does not have 2001 MAF. Still has 2000 80mm MAF. Wiring just connects the sensors.

Cool, I see now. Are you going to upgrade your MAF to the '01 unit? Also, did Ford provide kits to retrofit some of the wiring or did they have to lengthen wires? I do know that 1 or 2 are routed different because of the intake change.
