What is a Dodge R/T
Gang:
You forgot one. In addition to the Viper, Dakota, Durango, Neon, and Intrepid, there's also the STRATUS.
Sad. Quite sad.
Before somebody tries to "out" me, I have a brother at DaimlerChrysler R&D and a brother-in-law who is a head service writer at a Chrysler dealership.

boat anchors huh.hahaha, i havent heard that one yet, i would say that a stock R/T to a stock L or course is gonna get beat, though i have seen stock R/T's pull off the line on stock Ls by a couple cars but then of course the L comes back strong and smokes the R/T, but hey whats better than a fast truck, R/T's are fast Ls are just faster..my R/T runs 13.8, no blower, no NOS, i get a little respect on the streets

Before I had my L, I used to own a '98 R/T that had a chip and intake. I raced a '93L with similar mods from 30 to 85 mph and neither of us pulled ahead. The problem with the 5.9 is that it had lot's of low end but no top end, wheareas the 4.7 gains on the top end.
Thats the problem with Dodge...
They use the 5.9 in them, but they are made more for towing... when the R/T Suspension dont allow ya to tow much...
Its a low-end torque motor, in a sports truck...
granted, if you take the 360 and move the powerband up, (heads/cam ect) she would give a good run...
I hope good things come from the 4.7... I've seen one run 14.2 with slicks and very few bolt ons... scary
