hmm.. i don't know the size of the filter tubes, or if a bigger filter would help...

a bigger inlet & exit tube would be good (bigger is better, yes?) but, we would have to "upsize" the fuel lines, fuel pump exit, and maybe fuel rails? lots of work.

i'm gonna look into getting a fuel pressure guage for either under the hood, or in a pillar pod.
does anyone know what the normal operating range for our fuel pressure?

also, you guys with pillar pods.. do your service writers give you flak for having them?

Recently had my Dealer replace the fuel filter in my 1999 Lightning.

The replacement filter, according to the Service Order, was not a FG-986 or FG-986B. Part number listed is F89Z-9155-A. Description is: SPEC FUEL FLTR F89Z. Price is $11.71 for the filter.

I notice in both the standard F150 and Lightning Maintenance Manuals, the fuel filter listed is FG-986B.

The SVT manual may be wrong. I know it is regarding air filters. The filter number that is listed is for a conical filter and not the flat Lightning filter.

FYI the manuals are correct. The part numbers on top of the fuel filter's box are FG-986-B and F89Z-9155A.
