This is kinda funny and I wanted to share it with you guys and gals.My friend has a 98 vette c5 and thought he had a rocket...well I told him that I thought I might just be able to get him if we raced,he said no way could I even come close to his special purple vette,well the race was on and one thing I have to admit,that color shows up real nice in the rear view mirror,somebody got spanked and it wasn't J MAN

With a 12.91 run, you'd definitely spank me in the 1/4. So was it the Convertible with the stickers removed or was it an aftermarket paint job? Thanks....

VETTES SUCK!!!

 

You'd never catch me driving a vette, thats for sure. But I wouldnt go so far as to say they suck. I respect any car that's fast enough to beat my truck stock for stock.

 

It just seems that guys that drive 'vettes have a ****y attitude and when they come up against a Lightning they get put in their place!

 

*LOL* I could swear you have about 50 of your posts saying the same thing. If anything about a certain vehicle sucks, it's the owner. I guess my attitude isn't too *****ty, as the local L guys actually let me hang out with 'em.


By the way guys, are we still on for the road course tomorrow?

Thanks! If you're interested, a bunch of us will be at the car show in the parking lot of Sears at the Cool Springs Mall in Franklin. The show starts around 4pm and lasts until 8pm or whenever people start leaving. They have many classic cars that are in mint condition there, as well as a few Vipers, Z06s, Porsches, etc. It's a good event for any car enthusiast. We should be very easy to spot. We park right beside each other, as most of the other Ford and Chevy guys park in a group to themselves. Hope you can make it.........

only about 3 posts so far. I've just had some bad experiences w/vette owners.I even had one recently ask me if my Pantera was a kit car.Imagine,someone who owns a plastic car asking someone who owns a 100%steel Italian exotic if it is a kit.what a jack a$$.by the way,that yellow car looks good.

Saturday.....

Pantera: That's the way it goes, one jacka$$ gives all the others a bad name. It's a '00 Coupe. It's pretty much sold and should be gone in about 2 more weeks. I will hopefully be getting a '02 Electron Blue Z06. If I can't find one under MSRP, I'll stick with Yellow. The '02 Z06 has 405hp, will do 0-60 in 3.9, and rip the 1/4 in 12.45 at 116mph. These stats will be released to the public on June 20th. Although the straightline performance is nice, it's still strictly geared toward road courses. Below is a pic of the new Blue. Take care!

 

You can always throw some more mods on.

Also, only 20% of all C5s made will be Z06s. I haven't heard anything new, performance-wise, on '02 Coupes/Verts changing. I'm guessing the only difference will be the new color.

If you make down to Cool Springs later on, we should be there anytime between 4-5pm. If the weather is nice, we will definitely be there. See ya....
