J Man: Weight Disparity? Ok, I'll let ya reduce your weight if you let me increase my horsepower and torque so I can be even with you. ..... Thanks for pointing out where 3rd is. I'll check the owner's manual to make sure you're correct.

Power Stroke 250: You said it right there: "As long as I'm having a blast..." and that's what it's all about. Stoplight to stoplight, there aren't many cars out there that can hang with the L. IMO.....

Dude, I know you love the Ls. I know you love the vettes. Crown Ford has a Red and a black L, no waiting....

You know you're one of us at heart!!! (LOL)

Hang in there, Ted...

I just like to keep my options open. I know everything about the '02 Z06, except for the price. If I can't afford it, I will be be forced to look elsewhere. Even if I have to change my license plate.

Leonard: No problem. Maybe we'll see you again at the "Cruise-In" sometime. Let us know how your mods turn out once you get them installed.......

Ditto on Crown Ford. They screwed my truck up when I took it in for service. DONT GO THERE!!! As for a vette, it's all what you are looking for. I traded my L in for a 01 vette about a month ago(it's the red one in the above pic that yellow00 posted). I loved the L, just ask any of the Nashville guys, but it was time for a change. AND WHAT A CHANGE IT WAS !!!

Hey Leonard. Keith already beat you to the punch. He e-mailed that one to me a few days ago. I've also seen the one of hte Porsche Billboard with the same Photo-Shop work done. I haven't seen one of the L. Wait a minute, does the L even appear on a billboard? *LOL* ...... Have a good one and we'll see ya around.......

Keith: I may be getting that Blue Z sooner than I thought. When are you gonna install your "package"? It would be real cool to do a before and after run. We could get the runs on film and then post them for all to see how big a difference it makes..... I'm still looking forward to cruising down 2nd with ya so I can get some of your "kills" on camera.... ..... Later!

Ted

yellow00 I wouldn't rush too much into getting the early 02 Zs, I hear they may still have the oil consumption problem.

You are right about that. I do know 2 guys in the Nashville area that take their Zs down to Atlanta to run at Road Atlanta and have not had any consumption problems. Of course it seems that the majority of Z owners on the CorvetteForum have the problem and that is the main reason I'm gonna stay away from the '01s. Like you said, I'm definitely gonna wait a little bit and see what the little nuisances on the '02s will be. I really have no choice, because I will not pay MSRP. It seems all the dealers that have allocations for the first '02s will not go below MSRp, for now. I guess I'll play the waiting game......
