Cool

It escapes me why proponants of one brand feel compelled to denigrate drivers of others. Before I had any mods I got spanked by a modded 'vette on the street, and the guy was very cool about it, complemented me on what a great race I gave him. Spanked a couple of stock 'vettes at the strip, and got my head handed to me by one on the bottle. So what's the big deal? There was a guy with a Z06 on the California speed meet last year, and there was mutual admiration all around. I wouldn't mind having one at all, except if I did I would do whatever it takes to keep from getting beat by a stinking truck.

Thanks Guys glad to see I opened a can of worms....See I had a 99 c5 with every option available, and I mean every!!!!!Today I ran a 12.88 in my big old L,lets see I think I've seen maybe a few vettes run better, but dam@ few!!!!And even though I use t9o have one, your right, most vette owners have attitudes.I had a L and A Vette at the same time, got rid of the Vette, the L was more fun,it's no motor cross vehicle, but as far as bang for the buck it's above the Vette. Now the new limited edition vette is an A$$ kicker, but seems to me Johnny L ran some 12.60's and I think that would stand pretty tall against a Z06.See what it is L owners are your great everyday people, great racers, great guys and gals,we have fun, no attitudes,Johnny L hung with us at WFC and was one of the guys, Same with Sal,what it is could be best described as friendship through a common venue,so nobody is slamming anybodys vette see here we talk about what we as L owners do and experience, for all the Vette owners I might have offended, sorry but ya otta start your own board and don't worry what the L owners are up to we'll show you at the track.
And Reality1 I don't think my buddy wants another A$$ kicking yet but when he does I'll send him your way,you missed a few of my decent runs today.ran 12.88,12.98,13.003 so life is good..
Thanks All

yellow00,
That Blue looks pretty cool. I had that color (close) on a 56 Pontiac I used to take to the Strip. It'll look good in a cloud of tire smoke.
J Man knew he could take the C5, he had one.

Jerry, Would your friend like to try his luck racing a Red Lightning?

Yellow 00's a regular to anyone new to this board. He's definitely one of the cooler Vette owners. He's also on the corvette forum too alot.

Yellow oo', your pic on the vette forum actually has me looking at a C5 over a C70...

I love the hydroformed front of the Vette frame. Call me a sass, but that's one of my favorite features!

Leonard: Thanks for coming out! Let's see here. Cool owners I've met off this board: 5. Obnoxious A$$holes: 0....... You should try to make it down next Saturday. At around 2pm we will be doing our private "track session" on the Trace. It's loads of fun and will show you how well your vehicle can handle. I only have about 2 more weeks left with the Vette, then my wait for the Z begins. With my luck I should get it sometime in the middle of next year.

Holeshot: Thanks man!

PS 250: Start crawling away at 120?? If you say so. You might not want to get a chip 'n filter, because then they would crawl away a little earlier.....

J Man: Stock for stock, a race between the C5 and the L in the 1/4 will be up for grabs. I've only been to the track twice and have run between a 13.3 and a 16(missed 3rd). I do not powershift because I couldn't afford to fix anything that my slow-shifting a$$ might break. I guess I'd be better off with an auto...

yep the auto works good, and if you'll let me dup about 1200 lbs i'd be happy to run you straight up,as I recall my vette was about 3500 lbs, L is about 4700lbs,a bit of weight disparity, and third gear is straight up from second just a bit of an angle towards the right if that helps any....

00 That was for you HAHA ! Dude Vettes are fast as hell on the top but most L's don't go for the land speed record they want light to light which I haven't had the chance yet . But It doesn't matter to me I am having a blast with my pickup truck .
