100 of those are me.

It's good to see some names we don't see around here very often pop up. I'm glad to know you people are still around and enjoying your Lightnings.

I too still come here on a weekly bases, looking mostly, never was much of a talker, and only posted if I thought I could help someone. (Which wasn’t very often) Still have the L and like most on here, I’ll be buried in it when I’m gone and long forgotten. Bet ya I’m still the only STOCK L on this or any other board.  A truck that can do 13:46 in a 1/4mile at over 101mph is still fast enough for me!!

03DSG with about 68,000 miles on her, and still running strong as ever!!

Attitude reflects leadership
Could be why this site has been slow for the past few years along with NLOC getting slower by the day. IMHO when you dont embrace the newer younger owners of these trucks then you will not get their attention and thats why LR and SVTP are rolling right along with ease, traffic and plenty of supporting vendors. I remember LOOM, Brian Baskin, Leanne spiro and all the drama from back in the day...
Later...
Bruce

What does that mean in concrete terms?

Occasionally I may go 4+ months before I visit this forum or NLOC. Lately I have been considering a 6lb pulley and SCT chip. My parents live near Clear Lake, so one of these days I may pay a visit to PSI. Fortunately my L (bought new in '02 and financed for 72 mo @ 4.9%) will be paid for in Dec. of this year. Right now I've only put 24K mi. on the odometer.

A late model '01 or '02 SS Camaro (had an Xcessive Motorsports decal on the rear window) with a wicked exhaust/cam was revving up at the light the other day as I pulled up behind him. We were both in the left lane. He nailed it on green and so did I. Fortunately I didn't spin the F1's that much as I launched and passed him on the right. I was easily a full car length ahead the entire way up to ~85mph before I got out of the gas (fearing a cop and a ticket for racing) but he kept going. He got out of it about 5 seconds later since there was traffic ahead, and as I cruised passed him he looked like this

The only performance mods that I've done is a 4" hole in the factory airbox (pegs out the boost gauge), K&N, TR5 plugs, LFP 58" traction bars, disconnected boost bypass, and some new F1's. I changed the fuel filter last week. I was thinking about hitting the local dragway for some 1/4mi. times.

Same here, I check the site every now and then, but not nearly as much as I used to. I don't have my Lightning anymore.

Google Trends. Ford Lightning Searches.

Ford needs to announce another "Fake release" of a new lightning to spark interest again.

Just decided to stop in to see what's going on,and i spot this thread so i decided to say Hey.Well i still have my Lightning that i bought new in 2002,and it's now PAID FOR!! This used to be the very first place i visited, man this place was fun back in the Day.That Google Trend for Lightning search's just show's how much interest is slowing down, but there are still a few of us Ol' Lightning Diehard's out there!Long live the SVT LIGHTNING!!

Wow...It's been awhile since I visited here myself. My computer crashed and when I turned my old laptop on, this was one of the three or four favorites I had saved. My lightning sits in the garage waiting for fuel to drop back down to 2 bucks a gallon so I can afford to haul it around racing again. I miss the fun of FFW a lot.
