Here's something you don't see everyday
RTKILLA - Actually, yes the Hennessey Viper can do 230 mph. Reading about it last night in Motortrend (or one of the 5 mags that I subscribe to). 0-60 in 2.34 secs in slicks.
Granted it probably doesn't handle quite as well as the F1, but for $160,000, you get a freakishly cool car.

Since I have my Lightning I really don't have a jones for any other vehicles, but if Ford ever decided to sell these (fat chance) I might have to reconsider. (I wanted an Allard J2X when I was young, this looks like a modern reincarnation).

KGM -
Dude, you must have a BIG stable
CBQB3 and Killa -
The McLaren did 240.1 MPH (yes, that's stock) They even have a video of it from the ****pit as it's doing it on their web site.
Check this out:

The second movie listed (see description) Click on that and see what it's like to go 240

Holy chit man! I will probably go my entire life and not see an F1. I probably would have acted like a total fool wanting to talk to the owner if that happened to me. On top of drooling everywhere and soiling my new Batman under-roo's. The F1 is of course the untimate Exotic! F50 being my second choice. Have only seen one of those in a museum.
There are lots of F1's in the US. R&T did an article on a Silver one that a rich oil tycoon owned in Texas. He used it as a dailer driver to work and everything. I also heard a guy in FL owned two of them. I wonder is B. Gates owns one, or two, or three, or four?

Just to add fuel to the fire, I've heard three McLaren F1 related rumors in the last few months. The first (and most believable to me) is that Herb Chambers himself owns one (he's the owner of a large New England car dealership chain); it's the only Boston area F1 I've heard of (unless you include that shifter cart place F1 in Braintree (jk). The second is that Bill Gates purchased one a while back, but the governemt wouldn't let him unload it off the boat because it was a racing vehicle only and not US street legal (for whatever reason)...so he built his own track. (Like I said, they're rumors, so take them for what they're worth). Lastly, and certainly least, I was flipping through that new mag with the 2003 Viper on the cover and this kid that works at the place where I get my oil changed on the way back from work (I know, I know, but its shirt and tie job)tells me that this kid he knew from way back who somehow or another deals with renting or reconditioning exotics let him take a Viper for a spin, and that they don't handle all that well. I said, don't they pull high 90's on a skidpad, and he's like, "well, when you take an offramp at 120 I guess you should expect the rear end to dance around a bit". Now, Viper's are pretty rare, but this isn't totally unbelievable, so I just go along with him on it, "cool man". Then he says something like, "you should see what 200mph on 495 is like", and I'm like, "what the hell have you ever been in that did 200 mph?!". "Oh, a McLaren F1." "So you're saying that you've not only seen a McLaren F1, but you've sat in one, been in one driving, and to top it all of you've hit 200 on 495?!?!?!". "yep"...I guess its time for me to find a new shop. Later...

You may just want to believe him, My family owns a C5 Corvette and just last summer. I had it just below maybe breaking 325 km. It was on the highway in a bit of a down slope. Might have been able to go a few KM faster to if I really wanted to push it. You can always find places to go faster than they say it can go. So don't jump to conclusions. Also a neighbor told me in his GTS Viper he was breaking or comin close to 325 Km also. It can be done in those cars, just not on the same track they test them.

Nuke-
Isn't that Larry Ellison? No, he did not look like that. The guy driving the McLaren that I saw was a Middle-Easterner. Just about every who lives in Bev Hills anymore is either Iraqi or Iranian or some kind of Camel-jockey, Farsi is the official language now of Beverly Hills.
I didn't know Ellison had one, but it wouldn't surprise me as he is a car and motorcycle nut. The computer wiz that I saw on tv who had one was ... damn, can't remember his name!..he was an obnoxious little punk though.

Yea thats good ol' Larry Ellison. He does have one.
Rumor has it he allowed the Cali smog ****'s to check the car only if they met him at some warehouse where he stores his toys, and if they didn't start the car up.
What else do you expect from a guy who wanted to sue an airport for not letting him land his private jet in the middle of the night.

LowRiderHD2000,
I wasn't talking about the speed factor. I was not believing his story about riding in the McLaren. I don't give a chit who told me they road in one. I would have to see it to believe it. (except someone I know could afford it of course)
BTW Ladies and Gentlemen, that Ford concept is what they call an Indigo:
