Is that a wanna-be? It has the wrong rims, but does have the side pipes.

Looks like 2001 tail's but maybe he thought the aftermarket rims could gain another few seconds over the bigger 18's, HAHAHA

Howdy!

RTKILLA,

Great truck!

I noticed you have a Cervini hood on your Lightning. What is your honest opinion of cervini and their ram air hoods. I was told by certain vendors (whom I will not name) that "their (Cervini) hoods are cheap (meaning low quality, not low price, although Cervini hoods are definitely much lower in price comparing to other brands) and are shipped warped". What do you think?

I definitely like the style, have researched many different hoods and am very close to getting Cervini's. Your comment will tip the scale so make it a good, thorough one.

Thank you.

------------------
My ride:

Basics:
- '99 XLT F-150

Under hood and back:
- Ram air (Don't ask me how )
- AiRaid intake
- Flowmaster DF 50 Series
- 24x3.5" Stainless steel slashed tips (Yes! Solid polished SS, no cheesy chrome-plated)
...

Outside:
- Precision polished billet grille and plate holders
- American Racing 17x8s polished Pythons (Flushed front AND back)
- Goodyear.. something tires (Expensive is all I know. LOL. No Firestone firecrackers for me either)
- Rhino liner
- Ford nerf bars
- Ford bed rails
...

Inside:
- My girlfriend!
...

Fun stuff:
- Dual sirens Black Widow alarm system/keyless entry (Enough decibels to go deaf in a garage )
- Custom driving lights (Just a cool blue)
- 2 High-Watt lights behind grille (For people who cut me off )
- Dual horns (For people who, again, cut me off)
- Dual wheel locks (So I won't be driving home on bricks!)
- Spare wheel lock (So I won't have to use a brick as a spare )
...

Best of all:
- Texas A&M University aTm front plate! Gig'em Aggies!!

Aftermarket? Ha. They are basic Ford rims.
At least he got the ground affects and body paneling. Looks ok.

I don't know how anybody could complain about the overall quality of the hood. Maybe during the shipping some people have experienced damage, but not me. I also went and picked mine up from the yard before it got on any truck.

So far I love the hood. the inside looks just as good as the outside of it. the hood fits great without any problems on it. I'm more then totally satisfied and then some with it. The only thing I would do different is somehow try and put a better clearcoat on the hood so the white chips from rocks wouldn't show threw, but I used to do allot of highway drive and now I'm lucky If I got her out twice a week for 50 miles. Everyone I have talked to about the hood loves the quality and I've had mine for over a year now and no problems yet with it. One last bad thing, it makes allot of people want to race you casue it looks so much meaner now, HAHAHAHAHA.

Good luck.

Howdy!

Thank you RTKILLA.

A couple more questions:
- Where can you "pick one up"? I thought they were only shipped from VA.
- What is the approximate cost for painting? Dealer or 3rd? Does paint color match or slightly off? (Remember mine is white)
- Anything else I need to know?

Thanks again. Smoke 'em RT!

Thumbs up

Leancut,

If I see your truck I'll be sure to give you a big wave! I'm in Plano all the time.

Sounds like you've got a cool looking truck. My '99 L is white also.
