Lightbulb My new air intake hose.

Here is a couple of photos of my new air filter duct set up. When I get a chance, I will remove the filter top and take a photo of the bottom/inside of the filter box. I am trying to think of a real clean way to build a NACA duct that sits below the left fog light. We are tring to build it so that it is totaly hidden from the front view. Three inch duct is about the largest tubing that you can feed thru the stock water hose, oil cooler lines and the fender without cuting on the truck. Hope these photos help.

Photo from near the blower looking down.

A site to look at for parts to use to build one. I only used the 3" drake duct tubing from.

I got a 4" up with a little trimming of the plastic. Be interesting to see what you think of your set up when it is finished.

It was that photo that motivated me to build my setup. The rule in racing is "Pick your enemies well, some day you will be just like them.

Where did you get the intake bell and what did you use to build the adapter to the bottom of the air box? How did you get a 4" hose thru the water lines and the oil cooler lines. It's a tight fit with 3".

New photos of revision II. The 3" hose comes from the guys that make the insulation blowing machines. Be carefull if you do this regarding tire clearance on a hard right turn. The plastic inner fender well had to be trimed a little.

What was the piece you used to bolt to the bottom of the airbox? Was it some NACA scoop? Where did you get it?

We built it out of aluminum. A good friend is gifted at tig welding. It is just a 3" od tube welded to a flat piece of al.

awhittle...sorry I never saw your edited post from 3/29. It is a tight fit but the hose is very flexable and made it. The duct tape was added for protection. The colored hose is cool, can you get it in 4". Do a search under Ram Air Pics for more info.
