Nice Raoul...did that shopping cart have a cold air intake?

I just turned 26 last month, I do Systems Engineering/Integration ... got hired out of college, so I havn't quite finished it yet. (Comp Sci/Eng double major)

I dropped $8G down and financed 29,000 to get my truck. I sued the guy who creamed me and totaled my van and will be getting $30k from it, so that'll pay off the rest.... had to have a skin graft from the injuries in the accident, that sucked. Good thing I'm not a model!

Angry

In classic UFC style: 36, bank owns the title(s), IT Manager/Police Officer, I pay insurance, happily divorced, no kids, I paid for my measly mods on the money that I do not pay my ex.
I don't expect anymore mods, this is after all a work truck (albeit a very nice work truck).
I would love to revisit this when I get my 20## Lightning "S"Cab (my official wish).

I am a legitimate businessman. the finer things in life are paid for, via the sweat of my employees' brow, whom i reward greatly, so they will keep sweating, or something. this philosophy, keeps me at oneness with myself, kinda like my friend, the "LLama"

25, male model, my sugar-momma pays for everything.

No, wait, that's when I'm sleeping.

When I'm awake, I'm 36, a coder, pay for everything myself.

Because I'm an hourly contractor, I gotta keep cash available for downtime, so I only put $10K down and financed $25K through www.peoplefirst.com (recommended).

63, going on 17. Not the oldest member of the board, but close to it. Was a probation officer in another life, so long ago I barely remember it. Have most of my teeth, but have to drive an automatic because of the wooden leg. Actually, its carbon fiber, wouldn't want to encumber the Lightning with extra weight, especially at the strip.
Only have one vehicle since I totalled my Civic; thinking about getting a del Sol for a daily driver. My toys are in my sig. Paid cash for all of them, can't stand the thought of making bankers rich at my expense. I like my truck, but I love my boat; if I could only have one it would be an easy choice - but then I have almost 3x as much money in the boat.
Don't resent kids with nice toys, unless they have snotty attitudes. In fact, bought my own kid a new Ranger last year.
Generally speaking the folks on this board get along amazingly well, which makes it such a pleasure to participate in, but I appreciate your ecumenical motivation.

37 for another half month. Self employed, distribute pumps in Ontario for the commercial indutrial sector. Company is six years old. Lease all of our vehicles:

2001 Lightning
2000 WS6 Trans Am
2001 Oldsmobile Aurora
1999 Chevy Z71 Extended Cab Silverado
1999 Yukon Denali
1999 Cavalier

All payments for the vehicles, insurance, and fuel are paid for by the company (ie. out of my pocket, only pre-tax)

Life is a blast.

I bought a '71 Camaro with a 427 in it back in 1986 when I owned a painting franchise for a summer job. Worst mistake of my life. That car cost me four years of earnings to pay back all the money I sank into it. Best thing that ever happened to me though. Now I understand the value of money and cashflow. If I had started my current business without that experience, and the amount of money that now flows through my hands, I would be in serious doo doo. In fact, I wouldn't be a part of this board. I'd probably be in jail for serious tax evasion, hiding from a mountain of debt. Not so anymore.

Life hands you all kinds of lessons, the trick is to learn from them!!

I'm 24, graduated at 20 as a Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist. Been working in the oil and gas industry ever since. Funny, the more I drive, the more I'm supporting myself! Parents paid for tuition but not supplies (50/50). Bought my 71 in grade 10 myself, and have been modifying it ever since. Bought my 98 2 years and 4 months ago myself, making $698/month(cdn) payments for a 4 year term. Bought a 2000 RM125 dirt bike last summer, making $160/month payments on it myself. Insurance for all three per year comes to $1600 paid for by,,, you guessed it,, myself. I do still live with my parents (cringe), but do pay $300/month rent to help them out a little. Financially, they should be alot better off then they are, but economics had a roll in there employment problems. I hope to have both my dirt bike and truck paid off by 26, and purchase and also build myself (with the help of my Dad the framer) a house. I figured it's better to have the fun now, before getting chained down with a mortgage a family.

19, turning 20 in a week. 2001 BLack Lightning, owned by the bank, with ME paying HUGE payments. Mommy does help with the insurance though, as it was a deal that if I stayed in school that she'd do that for me. My job is street pharmacist, with a side of stripping. Actually, I'm a non-proud worker for the Los Angeles Unified School District, and I do other odd ball jobs on the side. And after this year is up, I plan on going back to my old job of Loan Administrator for CountryWide Home Loans. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
