Unhappy Noise problem

I have a humming noise or winding noise coming from in front of the drivers side front engine it sounds like.If you are not moving there is no noise but when you start driving it starts sounding like a winding sound till you start to slow down then the noise slows down with the truck till you come to a stop.I am looking for possible solutions before i take it in tommorrow! Thanks!!

Could be the blower running. I hear mine when I have the window down and there are buildings fairly close to the street reflecting the noise back. It disappears if you turn up the radio.

If the sounds is only when the truck is in motion check your wheel bearings. Does it increase or decrease with the engine RPM? That could let you know if it is power train or drive train.

Silver-bolt,
When i am driving at 20mph and 1000rpm's let say the noise comes on like a spinning or humming sound than i put it in neutral and the noise goes away but still at 1000 rpm's, than i put it back in drive from coasting at 20mph and the noise comes back,so it only does it in drive not neutral but both are at the same rpm's though!Could this still be a wheel bearing problem or something else.

Wheel bearing would make the noise as long as the truck was moving. Wouldn't matter if you were in gear or neuteral. Sounds tranny related. Just for fun try it with your a/c in the off position. Long shot but worth a check.

I have the same noise when the engine is cold. I think it's the torque converter, but the dealer tells me its not, So I'll let it go until something breaks.

I am taking my truck in tommorrow to have them take a look at it and will mention it sounds like a drivetrain problem to me!
