If you're going to be there more than a few days be sure to go to Cozumel. Rent one of those thrashed VW's and drive west. Check out the beaches.

We saw a long palm lined drive at the west end of the island, turned down it, parked and walked out onto the beach. There was a palapa with two hammocks - we sat in it and out of nowhere a guy came and asked what we would like to eat or drink. We ate shrimp and drank beer til sundown. Go find that place.

Skip the trip to the place with the dolphins in the cove.

The trip to Chitzinia (sp?) (the Mayan ruins) is a whole day. Great stuff but you gotta be up for the trip and if you're going to veg you might want to read the book on the beach and just say you went...

Lots of bars and lots of women. After 10:30 the local girls come out. Remember this - if she looks twenty she's probably sixteen - don't even try to friendly the local girls or we'll all be coming down to bring your body home.

There's a jet ski & dive tour that goes through the mangroves. Do it. It's an absolute adventure.

See if you can sneak into Club Med for lunch one day.

Other than that, have an adventure and don't try to do too much.

 

Know the exchange rate and shop around. There is a reason they want US and not pesos.

dont get dyoull harunk and **** in the lagoon .. my buddy had to pay 150.00 so the policia wouldnt take them off to jail . you can talk down the taxi drivers a lot always offer half of what they want . check out coco bongoo and La Boom . SPF 50 !!!!!!!! or youll hate life that sun is hot as hell ..we rented a jeep and drove to all the cool stuff . its like a 100 bucks a day for a jeep .

I cnat remeber the name of that big bar, its uostairs, i think, not far from the water in Cozamel, i dont remeber much of it Those 2 foot tall margarita's, AAEeeee. The exchange rate used to be 10-15, 20 tops for anything and everything, hehehe. You just gotta appreciate such motivated individuals who put sooo much of themselves into thier work, God Bless them all. I better stop there, LOL. Ya, killer shrimp, get the good liquer, tequila, not the cheap *****. Do shots with beer or sprite or bottled something, no ice! Make bottled water ice in your suite, or just say F it and drink till ya drown. All that alcohol, a few bacteria wont really matter. TAKE PICTURES!!!! REMEBER YOUR BUDS! YOUR HORNY BUDS!
