Question What is the fastest car???

I was just wondering what if the fastest car any of you have driven in or driven? Since I am still a young buck the L is the fastest thing I have ever been in, but that should change here in the future.

These beats you all-

924 Porsche!

Off a cliff in Orange County.

Enormous sense of acceleration once I left the road; lost forward momentum; and began my fall. Stop was abrupt, too.

Killed the car - I lived.

My Yamaha R1 does the quarter in 10.35 at 135.2 stock

I don't beleive a 600 hp mustang will "whip" my bike, much less a modded out Superbike.

Watch out for the GSXR1000's 160 hp and 375 lbs will take anything on this board.

Fastest thing ive driven was a 500hp 85 monte carlo ss. That thing was completly insane. Couldnt really drive to well on the street though it had a 3600 stall convertor in it. Still lots of fun though

My buddies mustang with a built up 302 and a s trim at the time. back then I think it was a 10.50 car. couldn't feel it though cause the damn tires would stick to regular pavement. This year it will be a mid 9 second car with the new novi 2000 on it. can't wait to go for a ride. HEHEHEHEHE

fastest top speed would be in my dads 911 he had. I was little but I think we where doind about 175, 180, someting like that. he used drive nutty back in the day.

Fastest thing I've ever driven was one of the NASCAR beasts from www.cupcar.com around Texas Motor Speedway @ 165mph.

Words just don't do that speed justice. The sad part was that there was so much going on so fast, it was hard to really 'feel' it.

James

PS Although Wes' Stang may not take ~your~ bike, I'd bet he'd take most. But, I digress, let's not turn this into a pi$$ing match. I think it's fair to say we all like fast vehicles.

Car I REALLY wanted to buy....

1968 Plymouth Satelite
440 Interceptor from a 1972 cop car
Holley 600, Edelbrock intake, Muncie 4 speed,
4.11 (or so i was told) !?!, Headers, Baby blue with a cream colored hood and Cragar SST's. very good condition.

During the "Test Drive," I stopped looking over at around 140 as the needle was literally buried in the dash and it kept pulling. Oh, this was in 1987, just a tad younger.

Parent's excuse was "You'll always be working on it." my response.. "That's the idea..." NO GO

Shortly thereafter, it was sold and I never saw it again....

I race NASCAR in the All-Pro Division, and I also race on the Southern-Allstars circute. Our cars have around 600 to 650 HP. At some of the bigger tracks we run like Kentucky, and New Nashville we average around 150 or more.
