Cool

Yoda, thats what made me realize that he was totally full of b.s. "Remove the rev limiter"? I don't think so, when its controlled electronically and there are no chips available yet. I did ask him to pop the hood for me so I could check for the obvious mods. I figured that if he didn't have those he sure wouldn't have anything exotic. Then I was going to try to check the service port. But he said, "how come you're so interested in my motor?", and then claimed he was in too big a hurry, come back later. Fer sure, dude.

Cool

Talk about coincidences. I take my truck to the mechanic today to get my TransGo kit installed, and he happens to mention that he has a friend who just bought a Lightning, and he has one in Alaska, too. I plotzed, its got to be the same guy. I tell him about my encounter with him at the dealer yesterday, and he laughs and says thats him, he's got to be one of the world's biggest bull*****ters. I tell him about the race for pink slips deal, and he is practically laid out, says the truck is bone stock, and since he's ridden in my truck he knows it would be no contest. However, like all good lies there is some truth mixed in. The guy does have some money, and he has a home in Anchorage and one in Fresno, and he does have an L. at both. He spends the winters down here and summers up there. When he leaves for Alaska he will leave his truck with the mechanic, who will add some mods for him for when he returns in the fall. Oh, and the story on the door placards is that he made a deal with the dealer that if he kept him on his truck for a certain time the dealer would install a hard bed cover, free. I guess he doesn't have so much money that he won't pass up a freebie. He did have a nice cover on the truck. So after the kit is installed I swing by the dealer in hopes that Mr. C....y might be there, and see if he still want's a piece of my slow *** 2000, but no such luck. So Tundra, if you see an older dude driving an L. in Anchorage I want you to dust him for me, OK?

Not a lightning owner but I wish I could own one. Not enough dough flowing in. How did you find that site jstovall?

Sure thing. Just tell me what color Lightning he has. Are you sure its an 01? Seems highly suspect if he doesn't spend his winters up here. I have some things planned for my truck, window tint, grill, smoked rears (again). And of course my signature straight pipes.

Guess what? It rained today! It hit 41 yesterday, and 43 today. February is supposed to be the coldest month of the year for us. I have driven my Lightning with again F1s atleast once a month this winter. I should not have been able to drive it at all this winter.

Hey, if you see him again, ask him what his 01 runs at the track. Try to act like if he's got a fast '00, then he must have a faster 01. Ofcourse you wont ever come up here to watch this fast run. When he's done bragging about his truck, tell him to be at Alaska Raceway Park on May 13th, there will be another Lightning owner waiting to rac*--err beat him.
