Herb> They fixed the 2001's. I heard rumor that they copied your washer fix idea as you didn't apply for a patent. J/K

Do you really think that they would build the 2001's the same as 99's & 00's when they know that there is a problem?

I'd put my money on the '01's not making a noise out of the frontend.

The question is,
"Just how much money are you willing to bet?"
I hope your right, it would do them good to restoring their (Ford) name with many L owners; past, present, and future.

I don't remember making any wishes.

The only things anyone is sure of are death and taxes.

I wish you nothing but the best of luck with your new ride!!! Mine has been in and out of the shop alot. Ford is going to have to prove alot to me.

1.replaced lower control arms
2.replaced steering wheel
3.replaced intercooler
4.replaced radiator two different times
5.replaced tranny last week. Its now making a howling noise! Back into the dealership this Monday.
6.Still is getting lean codes.

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your truck.
Alot of times I've seen dealers/shops, cause more problems trying to fix something, so they will get you back to them for more repairs.

Mine will never go to a dealer or shop for anything. I own my own auto-repair/towing business. I'm in the middle of nowhere. If I work it right, and happen to have any problems, I'll fix it myself and get paid by Ford for the warranty work.

I hope they get yours fixed for you.

I'm taking my truck to '01ArrestMeRed for any warranty work. Don't even know the man but I already trust him more than Ford.

umm lisa...no offense...but jac has very little to do with adding a tiny washer to a limited edition pick up truck.

KGM> Thanks for the good words.
If you ever get up this way, feel free to stop in. I'm 180 miles North of you, on HWY.95. Who knows? It may become Ricks Automotive & Authorized Lightning Warranty Repair Station.

There have been a couple of '01s with the clunk already - at least that's what I've heard.
