long block vs whipple.

Sal, it was magnaflux'ed and everything checked out. They call that a "casting mark" and there are several of them on the block. Scared the sheat outta me, though ... You guys got GREAT eyes !!!
Funny thing, the same thing happend on the 408 i built for my old man's stang this winter. I AM NOT an engine builder and don't claim to be, but he took it apart and is a hack so i figured it was better me then him...haha. Had the whole rotating assembly together and flipped it to put the oil pan on, as i was putting the gasket on with the pins i was like ****!!! I thought it was a crack near the cam journal. Iwas was a casting mark thank god.
What are romeo heads? Are they the 2v 4.6 heads or something?

Yes you can do it without touching the SC (I have) but the time wasted and fustration is &@$#*(!@#$(!@#%)@$%(@$%(@$&
Next time I'm taking the SC off too
Ahem ahem all Vendors:
WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE A 2 PIECE UPPER FOR THE WHIPPLE
BEST OF LUCK CLIFF
looking Gooooooooooooood
Hey Rob
Next time your down at Jim's shop ask those guys how to swap out the plugs.
Removing the Whipple takes a lot longer trying to undo those bolts under the body.
Easy to whip off the IAC valve to get #6 & #7 out.
Use the Snapon 7mm knuckle socket to remove the awkward cop bolts.
We cab debate this all day, I have tried both methods.
Anyway time for a dip in the pool
