My fill cap is on the Passenger side; the neck is just a little shorter than on the stock Windsor covers.

Yes, Romeo heads use a smaller stud size.

yeah

Sal, it was magnaflux'ed and everything checked out. They call that a "casting mark" and there are several of them on the block. Scared the sheat outta me, though ... You guys got GREAT eyes !!!
Yeah, i wasn't busting *****, i was just honestly looks to see any marks on the rod bolts to see if they were new and was like ummm......

Funny thing, the same thing happend on the 408 i built for my old man's stang this winter. I AM NOT an engine builder and don't claim to be, but he took it apart and is a hack so i figured it was better me then him...haha. Had the whole rotating assembly together and flipped it to put the oil pan on, as i was putting the gasket on with the pins i was like ****!!! I thought it was a crack near the cam journal. Iwas was a casting mark thank god.

What are romeo heads? Are they the 2v 4.6 heads or something?

Because it sucks monkey a$$ to change plugs with a Whipple Ricki. And dont even try to tell me or him differant because I dont think there's another L brother thats changed more plugs on a L than me and the facts are it does suck.

Yes you can do it without touching the SC (I have) but the time wasted and fustration is &@$#*(!@#$(!@#%)@$%(@$%(@$&
Next time I'm taking the SC off too

Ahem ahem all Vendors:

Hey Rob

Next time your down at Jim's shop ask those guys how to swap out the plugs.
Removing the Whipple takes a lot longer trying to undo those bolts under the body.
Easy to whip off the IAC valve to get #6 & #7 out.
Use the Snapon 7mm knuckle socket to remove the awkward cop bolts.

We cab debate this all day, I have tried both methods.

Anyway time for a dip in the pool

the first reason i took the whipple off was to redo the vacuum lines. i am using JDM's racer kit sketch to run my lines. so the whipple had to come off.

Cliff, do a search online for Team Breed Racing. He makes aluminum SOHC valve covers in all different configurations.

I have the oem covers with the oil fills in the correct place but I really can't tell you where they came from because I bought them off ebay.
