Peter,
I hate to give advice...but I had this happen...Hornet built a small nest under cover on car(in garage), removed some paint when I removed nest.
So,if you use a cover take it off ocasionally and check underneath for local varmits.

reality1,
good advice. I can't believe that happened, live things get into everything. I had a former boss that was storing his snowmobiles in the cabin garage and rats ate the spark plug wires. Another guy I knew had several brands of snowmobiles outside and a bear ate the seat off only his Yamaha sled, but left the other brands alone.

I bought my cover from Ford. It has lightning embroidered on the front. I live in Boston and keep my truck outside. Everytime I take off the cover it looks great. It was about $230.00.

Cool

I also bought my cover from Ford with the Lightning on the front. I park it outside in the snow and rain and it works fine. It amaze's me how water puddles over the bed, but doesn't soak thru. One of the better "buys" for my truck

I purchased a cover through the Ford catalog. The cover is made of NOAH a lightweight, soft gray material(not canvas)It is very strong, has great water repellency & protection from the sun.The cover fits excellent, has a plastic window for the rear license plate and the awesome lightning logo stiched on the front of the cover.I paid $229.00.

Question Car cover

I have done a complete search and only found 1 post in regards to a car cover that is made for our Lightnings and apparently it is available through Ford. I believe it is a standard thin canvas type material. Does anyone know of a car cover made for the L that has the "waffle" type material?

Here's some info for you -

I noticed the price in the last post of that thread and that is way more than I paid them for mine. If I remember correctly I paid ~$230 including shipping.
