i get very pissed when i see posers...

only 1 sighting so far... 00 lariat supercrew 4x4 with lightning badges... i got pissed and i am still pissed about it

i saw a f150 flareside dropped to spec with lightning, had the ground effects and svtf150 on tailgate and side fender... looked good and didn't get me mad, unless he had lightning emblems and the wheels, well... it did get me mad a little bit

i have too much respect for lightnings, and i will own one very soon... i hate obsessions

Cool

When you guys get to be as old as me maybe you will save your outrage for something important like world overpopulation or global warming. I don't give a porcupine's posterior what anyone else does to their vehicle, as long as they are the one making the payments.
Doc, how does your wife like her Ranger? Bought my kid the same truck last year, he seems to be pretty pleased with it. No clunk, no leaky intercooler.

Hey Geeky

What color is your rig? I am in Albuquerque too. Do you ever run up Montgomery?

It be Dark Toreador Red. I drive Montgomery all the time but usually to get somewhere and not to compete. Used to do that kind of thing in the 70's though (high school).

I personally just don't understand the incorrect badging stuff. I can see adding the useful bits -- better wheels, good looking body pieces even, but why in the world would you want to add a badge for something you aren't? Geeky, why do you want an SVT badge? A badge just says "this is an SVT product". Since it isn't, why in the world do you want it? It's like putting Corvette badges on a Mustang, it's just silly.

Wow am I gald this thread is still going. Ok today going to work pull up next to this guy in a extened cab f150 and this thing had the ground effects and the bumper wheels, everything, doen to the badges on the outside. Even the flareside bed. I was in my work truck cause it snowing out, so he had no idea I have an L. I rolled down the window and said when did ford start making an extended cab lightnig. He said they don't I made this one into one. I asked him if he ever races anybody with it, and the moron said yes. He races the r/t's and the camaro and mustang guys all the time. Now I know why the R/T guys are so stuppid. They think there racing an L when there racing an extended cab f150. I just looked at him and left the scene of the crime. You'll probably here about it on the news tonight. You know gas in the snow spreads pretty fast. I only had to use 3 or 4 gallons. HEHEHEHEHEEHE

Alpha
She loves her truck, drives the #$%#$ out of it!! First 5-spd (or manual) she ever drove and powershifts with the best of them. By the way, how much does a porcupine's posterior go for these days?
And for the emblems, if it bothers some so badly, why don't they buy every emblem made? Doc

It's not the first time I've been accused of doing something silly. That's one of the things that keeps life fun. Hmmm, I wonder if a Silverado badge would fit....

Just kidding

Alpha, the reason it makes me mad is because its so stupid! I wish my Piper was a Gulfstream, but you won't find any G-IV badges on it! It makes the person driving it look like a fool! It's not something I spend a lot of time worring about, but it is dumb. Also, if your so worried about global warming, why would you drive a truck that gets 12 miles to a gallon. Do your part, sell your truck and buy a Honda. LOL!

I've called many fake Cobras out of the bag before and it's a blast..Different year wheels on a different cobra, wrong front fiasca there's a ton of ways to scope them out..Gen1 L's can be alittle more difficult because many owners take off the exterior badging. Add the seats(not too hard if you can find them), front air damn($200) and a roll pan and wheels of course and you're in the L status..So for $1000-1500 you have a F-150 transformed into a Gen1(lacking the performance though)..

Thumbs down

Clonetek
You have to be the Dumbest SOB or the bravest
to think about burning somebody's pickup
I myself think the truck looks good
maybe he can't afford a lightning
think of it as being copied as the greatest form of flattery
but don't think that because you own a lightning that somebody's going to let
you burn there truck!
