When I go to the track I always bring my battery charger and plug it in after each run. With fans and intercooler pump running the battery can go dead pretty quick.

When my battery was under the hood generally did not have any problems.

So... as my statement said "if you don't need to relocate your battery don't".

I see your concern and your points are valid. But, I don't need to do a lot of things that I do to this truck. It a hobby and an addiction for me. I want to do everything I can to make the truck run better when I take it to the track and this will help a little. I will probably do like you said and use a charger when I'm cooling down to keep the drain on the battery at a minimum. I hear JDM practices that a lot. I will eventually do this mod, I just want to gather as much information about it so when I do it I'll have a problem free set-up.

Moving the battery can change the F/R weight balance by almost a full percentage point. I don't need that, but I want it.

My brother manages a welding supply, so let's say I got a decent deal on it...

You should be able to get it for around $1.80 - $2.20 per foot. Just be sure to get the higher strand count wire - it is much more vibration resistant and is easier to bend and route.

Very stealthy.
