Post What will the 01 maf do for our 99-00's

Maybe Ba or someone else can answer this. If we install the new maf will we need to have our chips reburned?

Cool

Well, let me see maybe it will flow more air. I have a " ? " for the chip burners 2. If the Pro-M is no good because of its increased flow. What will you do with the larger 2001 meter.

WCFan,

The problem with the Pro-M is not that it flows more air, but the way its electronics work.

The pro-m's are very inconsistent from what I've heard from a very reliable source. The new 2001's if they can be fitted on the 99's/00's will just take better readings and be more consitent with the computer.

I hope it's out soon cause I want one.

The Pro-M causes the CPU to lean out the truck. From what I understand since not all Pro-M's lean the truck out the same amount it causes detonation on some trucks.

Incon is a company that sells Turbo kits. I have one of thier twin turbo systems on my Mustang! (It's not running yet though )

My Pro-M is in Michigan for warranty work. I had it about 6 months. It developed an erratic idle for no apparent reason except electronics. They are sending it back, hopefully this week. I ordered an extra filter and a fan shroud, mounts to 2 of the filter screws. They are very nice people...but slow to warranty....I would expect a 24 hour turnaround considering you must remove and replace an essential component.. I am interested in the 90MM Ford parta also

The mass air transfer function of the 2001 is different enough (from the 00+99) that you will require a flow sheet to use it.
Meaning they are not the same.

What's a transfer ****ion? Can I just put the flow sheet in the glove box with my time slips. Will that work?
