I see that the ARE lid can come off easily, does the Snug Lid come off easily with one person? I really would like the security of a lid, but need to take if off once or twice a month to haul stuff.

I also use meguirs on my black Saleen (that little meguirs sampler pack does come with the car after all). I have to say that I am not super-impressed with the results. But what you said about Zaino has got me thinking now that maybe I should stick with meguirs.

I hate black...every tiny little swirl mark and scratch....annoying.

Thats why my L is red.

clonetek,

Where did you get you Pro-Sport lid? If you can give me a supplier, phone number and price, I'd appreciate it. I did a web search but could find nothing....

Don't know if you guys have ever tried Liquid Glass, but I've had excellent results with it. It's $$$(like Zaino) but well worth it, IMO.

I personally took a full week's vacation last year and stripped the paint and applied 8-10 coats of the stuff. I takes a few hours(3-4) between applications to bond, but the shine is superb.

I followed up with Maguire's Gold. It's a shine you can actually see down into.

I'm a freak about a "perfect" shine.
It actually takes me a week just to wax the L. Each section, one at a time until it's perfect.
The wife thinks I'm nuts....

Rich

Always heard good things about liquid glass, but never tried it. Don't know if it would hold up to the heat torture test or not. 95 Saleen, if you're not satisfied with the Meguire's wax you're using (they've got "gold" class, "medallion" class, pastes, liquids, professional package, retail package, it all seems to work equally as well, and it's all basically good old carnuba at heart) for taking out swirls and small scratches, then pick up a bottle of Meguires #7. It's amazing stuff, been around FOREVER, non-abrasive, but truly cleans the surface and eliminates (not just covers up) surface imperfections. Also cleans off all layers of old wax or poly for a clean paint surface. Even if you don't use Meguires wax, the #7 is still a must for any detail supplies shelf. The Zaino scratch & swirl remover I tried was not even close to being comparable to #7. #7 is also an incredible oxidation remover, for those who actually neglect their paint to the point that it starts oxidizing. Good for the girlfriends car, usually!!!!

Cool

I like the lo-pro because of the weight and the slim-line appearance. Check out my web-site to see it on the L...
