Post Please post pics/info for bed lids

I've decided to get a bed lid on my L and was wondering if those with lids could post pics and info about theirs?

Thanks.

Here's a pic of my Snuglid. I liked the quality very much. Paid $725, painted and installed.

'00BlackLightning, what wax do you use on your truck? That's one of the cleanest Black L's I've seen yet. VERY NICE!

Here's my a.r.e. It has more of a cuvery look to it and I like it alot. It has the lock right on the back, not on top. It has shocks and hinges to hold it up. it comes off in about ten minutes if you have to take it off also. I paid about 750 for mine but I think it's the best looking cover out there. Later

The AREs look much better from the side. One of the plus factors for the ARE cover is it's locking system. They are very solid and would be tough to break into.

Sorry I don't have a picture of mine it is also red like RTKILLA's

I've got my dirt bike going constantly in & out of the bed. A rigid lid would be a royal pain for me, so I went with the factory soft tonneau. I also envisioned that every time I wandered by Home Depot, I would see something I needed and go "DOH, that won't fit under my G** d*** lid!". It Defeats the whole reason I'm driving a truck. I've got faster things than the L at home, If I can't USE it as a truck at the drop of a hat, then I've got no reason to own it. The soft cover is far more practical, but it doesn't offer much for security. But if I can weigh in with an opinion (as if I haven't already), I think the snuglid looks the best because it's the least IMPOSING of the two. Much lower profile, cleaner looking, not a distraction. Look at the difference of height at the bottom of the rear window. I've seen alot of lids on trucks down here, and when they get too bulky it louses up the design balance of the truck, makes it look like it's got a "big ol' butt", and a high waste line (like those new "sport tracks"). While I'm on a "I like" - "I don't like" roll, I'll spit out that I absolutely hate wings mounted to the rear of hard tonneaus. Hate me if you want!!!!

I use Zaino Bros. products on my L. Get's wiped down every day (sometimes twice)and waxed every week.

'00BlackLightning, I used Zaino Bros on my Black S351 Saleen for the 1st time last June in preparation for the Fun Ford Weekend in Gainesville, FL. The sun was torturously bright, and temps hovered around 97-98 degrees that weekend. The Zaino cooked to a crisp on my car the 1st day, litarally started turning an opaque cloudy white. Parked right beside the Saleen was my black '69 Boss 429. It was bathed in plain old fashioned Mequires wax, which held up perfectly. Two-day show, on Sunday Morning I had to strip the crusted and cooked Zaino off of my Saleen and re-do it with Meguires, and it was fine from then on out. I had the same thing happen to me years ago on my black '93 Vette with a similar non-wax poly-type formula (but not Zaino) in extreme sun/heat conditions. I've never had this happen on lighter-colored cars, I stay away from that stuff on my black cars, as black gives SEVERE surface temperatures that poly-coats don't seen to endure. If your truck is, or has never, been exposed to that kind of heat and sun, you may have not stumbled on this problem, but I thought I would fill you in on my experience. From the pictures, it appears that you are a detail "freak" like myself. I've been prepping and showing cars competetively my entire life, so I'm not talking out my a** on this problem.
