Cool Website for Ford Owners
Damn right guns are for killing people. Lotta people out there need killing. Someone tries to jack my L., I hope I am packing one of my Glocks or my .357. Unfortunately they have twisted the law so that it is almost impossible to get a carry permit here in CA, and I don't want to face the consequences of getting busted. The only state that does not require some kind of permit to carry (I'm pretty sure its New Hampshire) has the lowest rate of violent crime in the country. It sure gives the bad guys pause to thought when they know that their prospective victim is liable to smoke them.
MAN
Ted Nugent? Guns? Alcohol? Lightnings? Did I die and go to heaven?
What you say we all get together somewhere and make a weekend out of it. And I'm not talking about just racing. Bring your guns, your booze, your rock and roll, your chips/filters, NO2, and of course, your Lightnings.
Well I think that would be the recipe for one HELL of a weekend!

ILL_SVT,
I hate to burst your bubble, but I've been carrying a handgun every day for the past 14 years for a living, and I carry one to save lives. If we're looking at the actual mechanical device, a handgun or any other firearm is designed to launch a projectile. That's it. Anything beyond that (killing folks, saving lives, hunting, sporting purpose, etc.) is dependent on the user. I appreciate firearms as mechanical devices, but I hardly ascribe human behavioral characteristics to them.
Sixpipes, ROFLMAO. Dennis, you constantly make me grin like an idjit.

1. Your handgun is 5 times more likely to be used against you by "Mr. Nasty" than you are to use it against him.
2. Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and the lot made policy during a completely different time. They didn't have gangs rollin around with Semi-automatic assault rifles. They dealt with muskets. That comparison is ludicrous.
3. I didn't say that all handgun owners killed, i said that handguns were made for killing. I just don't see their place in today's society.
You go ahead and preach the gospel according to Bubba all you like, i'm just a little more evolved it would appear. I'm an American, I'm a voting Republican, and i've served my country honorably. So all your "leftist, pinko, liberal" nonsense rolls off me like water on a ducks back.

And if somebody wanted to jack my L, i'd let 'em. If somebody was crazy enough to stick a gun in my face for my truck, i'd ask 'em if they needed money for gas too. Ever hear of insurance? I'm sure as hell not gonna end someone's life for my truck. Besides, i'm sure all that blood would be a bitch to get out of that fake suede.

"So all your "leftist, pinko, liberal" nonsense"
You definately have your left from your right all bass ackwards. In this country, if you're on the Left, you're a Democrat; if your're a Liberal, you're a Democrat. Left is Liberal; Right is Conservative. I have been Right from the beginning. Pun absolutely intended. Anyone that is for Constitutionally gauranteed gun ownership usually are mostly Conservative Republicans. Now, I'm sure you are a total goof! But, it's kinda fun pokin' at you and getting you to be a goof.

ILL_SVT sounds like he is a product of the media. It is unfortunate...that so many people have twisted innacurate ideas about firearms nowadays. It is even sadder that people think that whittling away at the constitution will make this country safer or somehow better.
ILL_SVT noted that the right to bear arms was given to us a long time ago and should now be ignored because it is an old idea that doesn't fit into society anymore. I guess he is right. But lets not stop there. While we are at it...we need to ban free speach and freedom of religion. Those silly ideas were proposed years ago. Same with freedom of the press. That was "invented" hundreds of years ago, before the invention of TV and the internet. The creators of the constitution obviously did not specifically have these mediums in mind when they drafted that crucial document. So let's go...let's give up all of the freedoms that we hold so dear. The freedoms that so many of our anscestors had to die for to protect. Let's get rid of the constitution. But not because it has failed us, let us down, or is holding us back as a society. Let's get rid of it simply because it's old.

Only a moron would equate Freedom of Speach and Freedom of Religion to owning a gun. Unbelievable.
I know the difference between the right and left, i just don't follow blindly along with every single issue simply because it's a Republican issue. But that's ok, you're a lemming. You're more a product of Charlton Heston and the lobbyists that pay him than i am a product of the media.

95 Saleen, well said. Could not have done better myself. I will not respond to any of the drivel from ILL_SVT (sounds like a troll handle).
However, I think ANY real American should be concerned when Goverment officials, who have taken an oath to preserve and protect the Constitition of the United States, have arrived at the radicial judgement that a very basic and protected right is suddenly null and void. And, they did not make that judgement generally available to the public in some form of announcement.
This is the stuff of tyranny, it would seem.
Over the past week-end I attended an NRA sponsored rally in support of gun shows, which some local officials here in Maryland are trying to close down. It was amazing. There where people from at least the Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Reform and Constitution parties attending the rally.
It was definitely non-partisan.
Everybody brought their NRA and 2nd Amendment signs and some of their political posters too. Did not detect any Communists there. Or Green party either, for that matter.

So I guess George Washington was a moron. Not to mention Thomas Jefferson. In fact, according to ILL, all the founding fathers are morons because they ALL equated the right to bear arms equally with the right to free speach and freedom of religion. If you take a look at the Bill of Rights Mr. Ill (i feel like I'm trying to have a intelligent politcal discussion with a beastie boy) you will see that the second ammendment indeed does fall right after the first. All those ammendments are equal to each other.
However, since Ill has unfortunately chosen to resort to name calling...I seriously doubt any sort of intelligent conversation can be had at this point. However if anyone else disagrees with me and wishes to engage in a MATURE and INTELLIGENT political discussion I'm game.
