What a cowboy you are. So all those people who have their weapons used against them just don't know how to handle it, eh? That explanation is just way too easy for me. It's my sincere hope that you don't ever have to find out otherwise. Keep practicing that quick draw in the mirror for your fantasy encounter with "Mr. Nasty". And i have done something about all my guns. I gave them all to my father who has no small children in his home. I feel safer now than I ever have with guns in the house. Amazing how many other ways there are to protect yourself, your loved ones and your property without keeping weapons in the home.

Just a guess, but i'd be willing to bet that you're one of those guys whose answer to foreign policy is something like "just nuke the ****ers!!!"

ILL_SVT,

I'd offer to take your guns, since they no longer have any place in your life, but I guess I can't. You see, in your proposed A. and B. those of us who are police can't have a gun. I guess that means you don't feel we're properly qualified to possess a firearm.

BTW, I've had firearms in my home my entire life, and I've owned firearms since I was 8. Never been a problem in my household, but then again I was raised to respect items capable of causing injury if misused, like the stove, power tools, hammers, and even firearms.

No Moonshine, my proposal was for those recreational gun users and wasn't really that well thought out. It was something that came to mind easily and i typed it. I have no problems with police officers or anyone else in law enforcement owning weapons. I just thought that went without saying.

But, some cops blow their brains out due to major stresses from their jobs. Maybe you should reconsider your cop gun ownership position and ban them from having them. You bet wrong about me wanting to nuke anyone. It's good you got rid of your guns. "fantasy encounter" Ha, you think I would ever want to have Mr. Nasty in my home and dissrupt my whole life with a possible fatal encounter. I'd say youzza Jack ***!!!

It is apparent to me now that you are probably under the age of 16. At least that is what you act like. You have some "growing up" to do.

Don't you embarress yourself when you make stupid and childish comments like that?

Stand back, I may pop a biggun' and youzza might be my target....opps was that word target too violent for youzza. Hey, I noticed that youzza message counter is getting pretty big. I hereby challenge youzza to go for 100 messages by the end of next week. What do youzza say. Mezza thinks youzza can do it with all the good comebacks and smart logic youzza are endowed with.

I think i've stumbled onto a raw nerve...I did, didn't I badbreath? Are you another one of the trust fund babies runnin around here? How much of your truck and mods were paid for by daddy, son? How long before you get bored with this truck and make daddy buy you a vette? Then you can cruise the Vette forums and bench race with them. I'd wager by the end of next year your handle will be badvette. (if you daddy approves, that is.)

The trouble with New Gun Control legislation is the lack of enforcement of OLD gun control legislation. It has been proven time and time again all over the world that in areas of gun bans the only ones with the guns are criminals. I dont have the references but I am sure they are out there.

Well, well, it looks like you didn't make your goal of 100. Only two posts. You're not really that serious about you posting ablilities. 2/100 = 2%. I guess according to my redneck math that you qualify as a 2%er. I figured as much. Why would I want a new Vette? I'm already whippin' on them on the street and strip. I am my own sugar daddy! Cmon' go for 100 by tonight, if ya got it in ya.

In reading and pondering the core issue here, Doug hit the nail exactly on the head.

NO new laws, ENFORCE existing ones....

I hereby pronounce this thread dead. It was real, it was fun, but it wasn't real fun. I'd like to thank you all for playing along and hope to find other threads in which to get your backs up. Thank you and good night.

One thing before you go.

"I don't really have a problem with people who'd like to own
guns for recreation, but I'm hard pressed to buy into the
NRA lobbyists and their puppet (Charlton Heston) argument
about it's every citizen's constitutional right to own an
assault rifle. "

Don't mess with Moses dude,
he'll put a plague on your a$$.
