Congrats. Johnny. Thanks for the chance to drive your truck. It just proves that about every Lightning owner I've met is a step above the rest.

For those that don't know what I'm talking about I went to E-town this weekend for the Ford race. Went to test and tune Fri. night and on the first run motor shut down at about the 1000' mark. Coasted a 12.03 @ 106. Let the truck coast to a stop off the track. It restarted and was missing terribly. Limped back to my pit spot. Had good oil press. and it wasn't smoking. Got under the hood and almost before I had the hood open JL was there to lend support. Found a vac hose blown off the lower intake. Started pulling coil wires (at least three were dead). Pulled all the plugs (two the electrodes were burn't off). Replaced the bad plugs Sat. and still had a bad miss (perhaps some bent valves). So there it sat on the trailer all weekend. Sunday Johnny asked me to drive his truck in the bracket race knowing that I was a little disappointed in the way things went after a 12 hour drive each way. We won't mention the red light.
Any way this just goes show that the Lightning owners are a different breed then any racers I've ever met and I hope that Johnny knows if he ever needed a hand, in the mushroom patch or in a gravel driveway changing a tran. in the middle of the night, I'm only a phone call and 10 hours away.
Good luck with the 11.60's-11.70's. You deserve it. Be careful with that NOS it is addictive. I did get a very cool hat this weekend so it wasn't a total lose.
