12.67 on a 12.65 dial in. Johnny's truck builds some awesome torque. My 60' was down a little from what he runs a 1.98 to his 1.90. I didn't lean on it hard enough out of the hole. It was the first time I drove it. I did leave a little early .478 r/t and I'm sure I won't live it down for a while. Thanks Johnny for the chance to wheel your awesome truck. You are the man!

Thumbs up

Johnny:
Say thats a great new time man! Congrates
and hats off to ya! When doing your runs are
you leaving that winged tonneau on your truck
or do you pull it off. I've always run with
mine on like at the WFC.Thats where you first saw mine on my truck then I think you ordered
one as soon as you got home, right? Arn't they heavy. I need to try it off once. Did
you get a lighted emblem for the front and
rear yet?
Once again great run!

I have to agree about the class of the Lightning folks I have met.

Johnny has been super-helpful to me since I met him at Norwalk. You gave me the tires after my slick went down. Spiro came on-track and helped me with my burnouts.

The Pawn took us on that lovely cruise to terrorize the Catholic churchgoers.

Thanks one and all. The best is yet to come.

Cool

Glad to hear you made it back safe everyone! we surely had a great time. one thing about racing you never know whats going to happen and when you run great and possibly get a win thats just a bonus as far as i'm concernd. just getting to be with everybody and lending a helping hand to WHOEVER needs it is what its all about. hey there's always going to be someone faster! just being able to be together 1 more time makes it all worth it...hey bob remember it works both ways hope i don't let the motor city hurricane get away from me! J/K
Bad Dog: i think you have a remote controll or somthing that you hit and make everybody red light..LOL!
robert: your right that lid is heavy ask racer X and spiro who helped me remove it.. i'm still waiting on the ford emblems shoot me an e-mail..
thanx again to all for a gerat time..can we say WFC in the spring ?....JL

Daniel,

Get out there and race. You definitely should give it a try.

I never even set foot on the grounds of a drag strip before I got my Lightning in '99, and I really didn't start racing until mid-summer of this year.

After two serious outings in the last two months, I now have a a couple of trophies and a new hobby.

I am actually getting grease on my hands for the first time in about 25 years. I'm still as inept a mechanic as ever, but I'm learning.

The coolest thing is that Mrs. Bad Dog loves it, and is turning into a great pit crew. We have a great time doing it, and she now understands why I need all those go fast goodies and tools I've been picking up.

Yeah, I will definately do it next time. The only racing I've done in my Bolt so far was two solo2 events, and they're just about as far from a straight line as you can get..heheh...

I definately join you on being an inept mechanic BD... I only know the internals of a computer, not a car...

Spiro, I definately have to get myself a few runs in next time, it looks like tons of fun.

Heheh, yeah that was a nice little side trip of the pinelands... I'm just glad that no one ran out of gas! Especially you BD! ... I think when the other guys race you they just want to match the color of their light to your truck.
