From: Colorado,
My 04 has 13.5k miles. I sometimes wonder why I have it too!

Then I think of the reasons I bought a truck like this in the first place.

It is a factory built limited edition.

It is confortable to drive.
It handles like a sports car.
Haul's like a truck.
Could be a DD if I wanted to.
Could be a competitive weekend warrior.
I get that warm fuzzy when I look at it.
I get wood when I hear it whine.

The mileage isn't really all that bad. If you make the effort you can get 15mpg. Nothing runs for free. Even these hybrid cars they talk about building will raise your electric bill when you plug them in. Instead of making emissions out an exhaust pipe its happening at the power plant............?

I would probably replace mine with a bigger club cab tow truck that had less power and not that much better MPG.

We have both taken the brunt of the depreciation hit. It should start leveling out. I don't like buying used, so I would be starting all over again on something new.

License plate and insurance fees drop off about the 4th year.

Is that enough or do you want me to keep babbling?

Agreed, you have only one of a few. Listen to the man Rob... If you are not hurting for money then it is not really costing you anthing. If you were not paying for it, you would be blowing it on something else.

Every winter since I have owned my '03 I wonder why I bought it. It just sits in a building and I couldn't get through the snow if I wanted. It now has less than 20,000 miles on it. Spring will get here, the snow will thaw, I will get it out, warm it up, run down the highway and think "what the hell was I thinking last winter?

DON'T SELL IT. you will regret it. Mine went away for an '03 Harley Truck so we could have more room for a babyseat. Yes it's supercharged but it still ain't no lighting.

I picked up my 04 L in december for 23,995 with 3,450 miles on it. Now it has 3,467 miles on it. I could prob get 28k for it if I was lucky.

If I were you I would keep it. What sellers are " asking for " and what there " selling for" is two birds of different colors.

If you want to know what sellers are asking check out EBAY, NLOC , SVT Performance, F150 classifieds & auto trader on the short list of L's for sale. A quick glance at ending bid prices on most of ebay's L's are well below "asking price".

You may not be surprised to see the L market is flat and there are many for sale. Those owners that need to unload their L's are reducing there prices and are still finding it hard to find buyers. What there actually "selling for" is below most sellers expectations.
It won't take long to research these fact for yourself and come to your own conclusion.

Either way, good luck with your sale and I hope you decide to keep it.
