I need a wild Lightning pic.

Hey I am looking to re-do our company logo for our new business, and I was hoping that someone had a caricature pic like they used on the B.O.L.T. t-shirts and stuff. You know, over the top artists rendering. Thanks.

I figured it would be great for our car wash.

I understand, but if they are not trade marked, and I have done due dilegence then I am in my opinion free to use it, but thanks for the advice anyhow. Take care.

Images are copyrighted not trademarked.

If I take a picture and post it on the internet the copyright is implied, if you look at the exim information on many internet pictures you will see they are invisibly digitally watermarked using products like photoshop. These days it even possible to watermark the image as its being downloaded with the ip address of the person who downloaded it. Makes it very easy to tell who stole which picture.

But the pictures dont have to be altered with the word copyright or even a digital copyright to be protected. An easy way to prove ownership is to post a small version and keep the original size. if 2 people claim ownership of an image and one is unaltered as it came from the camera .. Case closed ...

The only picture you can legally use is one you take yourself, or you buy or is given to you by the owner.
Whether anyone ever finds out and complains is another issue. But its still stealing the image. If you make any money on it the copyright owner can attempt to claim part of that money.

Another way to ask the question.....
If you take a six pack from 7-11 and dont get caught is it illegal ?
Yes people do it all the time. You may as well do it too...

Let it go man. I promise not to ask again. In fact delete this post as it seems that I am causing you some stress.
