Daytona 500 Lightning? I bet this is what a Lightning dream looks like..
During a photo shoot(they used my L for advertising), somebody left me completely alone out on the raceway....
Can you imagine my suprise? hehehehe

When I lived there, Daytona was a left turn only track.
All in all, If I ad my Lightning sitting on that pavement, I would stand on it. Something to brag about in jail!

I was afraid if I got turned around, I wouldn't have been able to resist the urge to give it a go...

The photographers at Truxpo wanted to give the 550 contestants the opportunity to have thier picture professionally taken out on the track.
They asked me if I wouldn't mind letting them take sample shots of my Lightning to put on display. You should see the one on my desk now. It's 36"x24" framed...
Once we got out there, they forgot something and left me out there all alone with my camera. Couldn't pass on the opportunity.

Hey i met you too..one morning at Race Related in St pete where they were working on your truck..actually it was collecting dust when i was there..I was with Brandon he was gettin the pulley put on his White L..I guess u got your truck back by now hows it running? Do you know if they ever ran that 900hp 2000cobra thats sits there?? I know it wasnt finished last i saw!! anyway it was nice to met u...

Hi Brandon-Still collecting dust! It is a long story and I put most of the blame on Art Carr Transmissions. I think my tranny was pulled last week and shipped to Ca because Art Carr could not find a 98 4R70W case. Lots of 97's but no 98's! I am also putting in 4:10 gears, the Pro M 80, and a BBk TB. I will try to dyno at Tune Tech on Nov 4th to check the F/A then hope to run some 1/4's. That 900 HP Cobra is still there getting new parts bolted on daily. It is almost to "show" to run. Note I said almost! I enjoyed meeting you guys. Stay in touch!
