Swanson Claims 375hp w/chip & MAF
Has anyone bought and tested this combo from Swanson. Seems to good to be true. Most of the posts I've seen are below this with additional mods. Just wondering if someone had gotten the same results testing this combo out.
Also noticed my truck pings in cooler weather with both the psp and superchip has anyone else had this problem. I run SuperAmerica 92 premium which is the best gas available in my area.

Mn,
I have a pro-m from swansons, didn't notice much difference, filter comes along with it and also got a chip. Had service engine light comming on and rough idle, sent it in a month or so ago for recalibration, not seen it since. Whan I get it back you can try it if you want. Let me know

Hi Brian, I have a C&L MAF but need to get the PSP recalibrated for it. Let me know when you get it and we could meet up. BTW My XT95 was ripped off from one of my Jobsite!! I have paid guards too... The SOB'ing guard helped the guy load the thing up just because he said he worked for us.. And to top if off the insurance co. didn't cover the rental replacement. But I'm not done with them yet. Planning on owning the one we are renting. Got rubber tracks though, after taking my window out with the steel tracks. Catch ya later..
Hey Guys!!!!
Post your dyno plots. I am willing to bet that you have spike on those plots and that is what you are reading for your high Horsepower. If that is true your Horsepower is FAKE. You know, like pure bullsquat all that it is good for is bench racing and even there you will be found out. I ran my Lightning at Paul's High Performance on Saturday and there were over 20 Ford FME members watching as I did three pulls with a high of 386.4 HP and a low of 383.9 HP. I will scan and post my plots tomorrow and there is not a spike to be found. Will you do the same.

Hey Spike Eng.
"I am willing to bet" is an expression. I would not pay squat to look at anyone elses dyno plots and I don't think that factual information should ever be held ransom to a dollar amount. I have done over 40 dyno pulls with my Lightning over the last 15 months and I can tell you what each component is worth from a horsepower and torque value. I have tested these items (Pro-M, oval throttle body. Long tube headers, stock exhaust, no cats etc etc.) and I can also tell you whose chip made the most Horsepower. I have tested several varieties of the Superchip, the PSP, the Danny Swanson, The Alternative Auto. They all have spike. Additionally, I could tell you which ones screwed up my fuel curves, leaned out my vehicle, had me popping codes and also gave me phony firm shifts that did not aid performance. Maybe in the last month or so Superchips and Mike Wesley (these are the two main chip types)have solved the spike issue. I don't know and I am done testing them. Yes I do run the Inject-Tech chip.
PS. I plan to dyno test the carbon fiber drive shaft too.

The server don't let me link directly to the images, so this is the best I can do. Isn't Swanson's combo, but proves you can reach the numbers with a chip and Pro M combo without spiking, just gotta have an experience dude running the dyno that doesn't start recording until the L's done shifting.
Cheers

The spike has nothing to do with dyno operation. It is in the base program of the Lightning. I have always done my pulls in 3rd gear and most smart dyno operators do that too. The really good ones have seen the spike and they question what is going on. Then you have the dyno dorks and chip maggots who can give you every excuse in the book but they would not know the truth if it kicked them in the Butt. Look at the dyno data from several Lightnings and you will see the spike above 4600 RPM's to about 5200 RPM's. If another "CHIP ROASTER" has figured out what is going on good for him.
