Saw a 2000 L during my lunch break. Who would have thought that two great things could happen at the same time, Lunch, and seeing an L. Anyone here per chance? 2000 L, White, gorgeous. Bought from Bob Beaty Ford, saw it in Chatsworth, I guess at work. It was in the parking lot of a metal shop (I believe). Wanted to go in the business and yell out, "HEY, WHO'S LIGHTNING IS THAT????", but I didn't, had friends waiting for me.

It wasn't me but I thought it was pretty impressive that during a trip which took me to Des Moines and Birmingham last Mon.-Wed. I saw three Lightnings. Two blacks in Des Moines and one red in downtown Birmingham. I wondered the same as you. With all the guys on this post, one of those three must visit here.

 

I actually was going to put the web address on his window, but didn't have a piece of paper with me. And when I DID get a piece of paper, i used it to get the waitress' phone number. )~!~ does that count as a "kill" ???

 

I see so many Lightnings around here I don't keep track anymore! I haven't seen any whites on the street yet...... Lloyd

At first, the thought of a White truck (the L) didn't "strike" me as something that'd look nice, but after seeing that one yesterday, that might be the color for me. I've now expanded my tastes to Black,Silver and White. Red is TOO hard to keep clean (i.e. Fingerprints) My Camaro is red, can't wait to lose that thing.

 

It ws a white lightning (in a article) that made me go straight to the dealer! when I got there they had all 4 colors side by side. I stood back and looke for a few minutes, I decided that black looked the best so I bought it. Lloyd

I think when it's time for me to get my L (when my Camaro sells), I'll have to find a dealer that has all 4 side by side. Seems to be the best way to decide. Saw a red one last night, this time I was driving the other direction. Was going to chase it down, but my all my friends said was, "he'd probably think you were trying to race him, and take off, and you WON'T catch him!" So I decided to save face and keep driving.

it seems you might have a problem with your screen name if go with anything other than black. Besides, you know all of us are going to have go with chrome eventually, and black absolutely rocks with chrome.

 

A problem has already come up with my screen name, since I'm shoping for a 2000 and not a 1999. But I think I've come to a decision (thanks to FORDSALES), since he has just told me that Black is the fastest color, AND told me how to get all dust off the truk by using that extra speed the Black offers, to get my original choice. So Black it is. And if for some reason I can't go fast enough for the dust to fly off, i'll invest in Pampers and a Car duster.
