Post women, wives, blah, blah...

Need I say more... yeah, she got to drive the L, again, this was the result.

What can I use to get a full tank of 87 up to 93 or at least 90?

Thanks

HA HA HA

That sux. Did you try any of those octane boosters they sell in the auto parts stores?

I'm not really sure how well they work. I've never used one myself. I tend to fill the car up with the correct gas. And of course I never let anyone else drive it.

Hit the runway for some AV gas (Might want to tow it there first).
Come to think of it, I haven't heard how the L compares to a Lear or Gulfstream 0-wheels up. Let us know.

Only time my wife gets to drive mine is when I have to take her car to get the oil changed. (I'm in the business).
I ALWAYS make sure the tank is FULL and the last words out of my mouth are "be sure you park it out at the end of the parking lot".
Tim

PS...octane booster will do the trick for you.

Octane booster or pick up a "Mr. Good Pump".
Great syphoning pump. Pump it out and stick it in her car. And use the rest to run the lawnmower.

Hey guys, guess I shoulda been more specific. I know I need a oct booster but been years since I've ever bought any.
Just wondering what's been used besides the 'ole rocket fuel. Don't want something where liquid sinks to the bottom of the tank like a lead sinker.
Ya know how bloody embarassing it is with a sick Lightning coughing and spitting all over the place? My son came over and was laughing his head off. His Dart runs better.

I've heard Xylene can be used, but don't take my word for it.

Actually, do a search for xylene, I think you'll find something.

the best i've used is "NOS" brand ( racing formula), it is expensive $8,9 a can, throw 2 or 3 of those in there

Read the labels. At least one says not for use in cars with o2 sensors. Thats the one I bought and put in and then read the label. Oh well, I got all new sensors with my intercooler replacement so I didn't really care.

You may want to try a Chevron station. They sell their own brand of octane booster. Good luck!

I agree with MRBBQMAN. I used the NOS Octane Boost in my '94 Chevy K1500 w/ B&M supercharger. I think it's the best on the market.

Thumbs up

few weeks ago we were at a party and i had a couple too many (maybe more than a couple), had my Civic driver wife chauffer us home. She had never driven the L. before, but did a damned fine job. I would trust her to drive it any time, probably a lot less likely to get into trouble than me (see post about racing C-5). However, would not want her to gas it up.

My wife used to complain about my driving until one day her car was being serviced and she was forced to drive the L to the corner store. She returned with the first speeding ticket of her life and has been very understanding since. True story.
