Since Sal is in New York, i'm wondering if soon to be President Gore (rat) has been pressuring soon to be Sen. Rodham (rat) to contact Sal thru their agents Alec (rat) Baldwin and Kim Bassinger, to slow production of these high proformance products, which cause more (rat)pollution and less mpg, which is a concern to all americans (rat). could be the reason why his replies never reach those who would modify a OBDII vehicle beyond democRATic regulations. coiencidenza??? i don't think so

I guess I would compare Sals products to Horsepower. Once you get it you keep wanting more!!!
We've ALL HAD TO WAIT for Sals products, maybe not right, but you must have been impressed with the times his trucks were running( thats why I waited) or you wouldn't have stood there waiting and you wouldn't have anything or someone to BITCH AT NOW!!!

You could already have your R9s and have to pay for every change you have to have done,ie- gears,mafs,trans shift quality AND you still won't have 4 PROGRAMS to pick from ON THE FLY! nor FREE!!!
But why am I telling you all this? You already knew this, RIGHT??????

MRBBQMAN-I don't believe there is an A list nor a B list. But given the posts I've seen lately on both boards, if I were Sal I'd create one!!!

F... your A/B list, how can you buy something from someone who's not even there? Would you have bought your "L" from a dealer with no service department, no phone/e-mail/buisness hours, not sure if they will even be in town next week? And the next dealer a 1000 miles away. Be a fool if you did. I waited 3mos. for the filter kit but I didn't have my truck yet so it really didn't matter. It's a nice piece no doubt and I'm sure his 4/way is good too but why start your own web site and not even come on it. Check out my unanswered post dated 9/6 almost two weeks ago, come on give me a break. I've had nice things to say about Sal through all the B/S this board had to give him, but I'm done now. Unless he has some great excuse why he hasn't been around for god knows how long forget him. My company does great work too but if I don't follow up on my calls/bids I have no customers and no "L" cause I'd be walking. No one I know is going to wait 2wks for me to call them back,I'm not the only one that does good work out there. Sorry for the long post I guess I just had to vent,waited 5mos for this fine ride not going to wait any more. Good luck Sal and don't give up the day job, cause you sure will not make it running your own buisness. This board has tried to give you some good advice on customer service (which is Job 1 }for the past 10mos. I've been here and you still don't get it, and probably never will.

I have nothing against Sal personally, but I make it a point not to deal with any company that gives me any pre-sales problems at all.

Companies that are hard to get hold of, blow appointments or don't respond to complaints with action are bad news and I avoid them.

There are too many good companies and products to waste time with the losers. every time I break that rule, I invariably get reminded why I made that rule in the first place.

Sal always has a good excuse: No parts. No time. No house. Getting married. Got kicked out. Brother was mean to him.

What's next?

I won't waste my time with him, and my truck will be just as fast without Sal's parts. He's not the only tuner who can make a Lightning run 13 secs.

Some of you are not getting the big picture.We are not talking about who has the best chip.We are talking about BUISNESS PRACTICE!!Sals is the worst!.Yes his stuff works with little problems but thats not the issue.What good are they if you cant buy one or you do end up having a problem? We all have been through tough times.I for one have had plenty.Just because you have a hard time in life doesnt mean you have an excuse.Just means you need to work harder.Ther is NO EXCUSE .Some of you forget that these problems are ALOT OLDER then his current problems.Seems like Sal has many excuses but NO PRODUCTS!!!Sal has always had problems delivering products.This goes way back.It has just gotten worse.Its not like he was always great and then he suddenly had tough times either.These issues have always been there!! By the way,I have run 12.9 with just a chip/filter combo with NONE of Sals stuff.Any of you who are Sals buddies done that?? ........NO , so his stuff is good but not the best.

I would have to agree with Lightningquick and Baddog about business. I once answered Sal on taking the plunge and starting up his business full time, he said he was not able to do this because of a new house purchase. What is important here is that you should be in business or not, it is not fair for people to spend their hard earned money without getting products or response back to inquiries.
Everyone has "things" that go on in their life, but you need to take the bad with the good and press on. He should have looked at building a successful business first then build his house later.
It is not easy to start your own business, but the rewards are great if you just treat people like you prefer to be treated.
If you are not ready to meet your customers demands on a part-time basis, then stop running your business part-time or get it going full-time.
This is what people expect from a business and anything less is just waisting your time and the customer. If the customer knows you are an independent there can always be some flexability, but not without proper communication.
I read alot of posts on this site and leave an opinion for only a few, in short this site is the best for Lighting owners and I am sure to read many more posts.

Bad dog, LQ: You both missed the point. Neither of you deal with him, no one has asked you to, so unless your life is real boring this really isn't a concern. When people are warned ahead of time there is a backlog and there will be a wait and still whine and cry "me first" that's bad enough. I waited for and received mine. No suprises with product or wait time. I lived through it. You have both chosen other products and that is your perogative, nobody said you had to wait. So why is there still tears? You're crying for someone else perhaps?

I'm convinced that 4DR THDR dates Sal or has some other odd relationship with him. He constantly speaks of people whinning, yet he is always the one who whines whenever someone seemingly alludes to his beloved SAL in anything but the most wonderous terms. You miss the point pal, we don't mind waiting for good stuff, but if you cannot even get a live body to speak with to order the stuff (which was my situation), that is a completely different issue. You can do business with derelicts if you choose, but don't tell me I whine when I expect the same thing I give to my customers - attention, caring and availability even at home if necessary. Bend over all you want.

How many people on both boards that sit here and slam SAL for his business practices ACTUALLY were potential customers (what percentage?) Would 30% be fair? I'll bet that many of the WHINNERS are more like sheep and are jumping on the band wagon just to be join in!!!! ( Its like joining a cause-even though you're not direcly effected )
