I think I know why the Lightnings are supercharged. I had an F150
Harley Davidson pull up beside me on S. Westnedge in Kalamazoo. Me
being incogneto and all with no decals am just sitting there at the
light listening to this guy reving it up and acting like a fool. At
the green he must floor it, it gives a nice eeck off what looks like
20" wheels. I just let him go and dog it to the next light. Now Mr.
HD is feeling the confidence. I look over at him and give the thumbs
up and point at the light and he nods. I can see the other light turn
yellow so I wait for the green and unlock the doors. Again a nice
little eeck, but this time I roll out until I hear the auto doors
lock and push it into the floor. By mid 2nd he was way back and I was
waiting at the next light. When he pulls up he's #1 Not looking very
confident, and #2 giving me the thumbs up. This all tells me that a
lightning with no supercharger is no lightning at all. Just a big
slow 5.4 stepside with big tires and wheels.

You must be a brave sumbich to be picking on those Harley guys, i hear they travel in gangs, and set guys hair on fire and rape their women and stuff. they buy those big xcab trucks with bed cover so the whole gang can hide in there, and when little chihuahua trucks like yours mess with them, they pop out and get you! i'd keep an extinguisher in the front seat if i was you

Why do you compare apples to oranges? I dont' get you. What's a 5.9 r/t dakota without the 5.9, it's just a dakota. Nothing special. The Harley is a lot of show and the same go as the regular 5.4 trucks. Your arguments are a meaningless and don't make much sense.

I was going to the track to test my new nitrous snowmobile and towing a 10,000 lbs trailer in my L and this guy in a R/T tried to pass me on the freeway and I just shifted in to 1st at around 80mph and waited for the autolamp to ignite the foglights.
I left 2 patches of 300ft of burning rubber and I saw him again when I came back the afternoon, he was still scraping the **** off his front seats...

Actually a Lighting without a supercharger would be SLOWER than a regular 5.4 F-150.
They designed the entire motor around the blower. You must have very little understanding of engine design, my R/T friend.
The L motor has 8.4:1 CR whereas the stock 5.4 has ~9.5:1 CR. The lower CR is so that we can throw 10psi at the motor and still run 93 octane gas with enough timing to make some pretty darn good power. Take that same motor and pull the blower off and it'd be a D-O-G.
Your argument is just like the rice boys. This is sad, considering you drive a vehicle with an American V8. What you're saying is no different than some imbecile telling me to take the blower belt off and race him. Whatever. Quit whining.
I still maintain that an R/T _with_ a supercharger ONLY (not 10 other mods) will run low-14s. That's not even as fast as a _stock_ L. I'm sure there are some R/Ts that run 11s. That's great. Throw enough money at anything and it will run well (just ask me...I know)
. But, then again there are some Gen 1 L's running 8s.
What was the point of this silly argument again? Oh, yeah. You beat a HD truck. Woo-hoo. I'll take my wife's Expedition and run that truck, too.

I hate to even contribute to this topic but I think its important to remember that there's more to a Lightning than the engine. The transmission is a vast improvement over a regular F150 and the handling will readily spank any Dakota , RT included in the twisties. You dont see dodge running events like the SVT experience or the SVT on-track events. The only dodge event that I know of that regularly is run on a non-straight track is Viper days. Nuff Said.
Took a walk up to the local liquor store. I was sportin my New Balance 1050 shoes and thinkin Iam bad. While waiting for the light, so I could cross the street, this "guy" in a r/t, starts reving his motor. I give him "the nod" and wait for the light to turn green. Well , the light turns green and I put 3 lengths on him, before he can say, O sh#!. As Iam going from a jog to a full gasp, I spied the Liquor store at the end of the block. Starting pumping my arms and looked back and this poor little imitation mack truck was a full 10 truck lengths back. When I got to the store, I waited for him and he explained that his rev-limiter kicked in. I told him, "IF you can't run with the big dogs, better stay on the front porch". :> )))))))
Think how bad you'd have beat him if you hadn't been "incogneto". Those stickers would boost your power about the same as the supercharger on the Lightning. Being a Troll and all, your superior driving ability should allow you to spank any vehicle.

I know it's another r/t guy,,, can't they just leave us alone.... and for what it's worth i do kinda feel like im trespassing... just wanted to let you know that quite a lot of us do like to autox our trucks even more than straight line racing.... as a matter of fact sixpipes is trying to set something up between the two makes of trucks after the weather cools of....
