You are aware the original post was almost 2 years ago. Its amazing the pictures are stillon the website

The truck was only 3 months old at the time... Elbow grease and the sun made the tips look the way you see them... THey dont come that clean anymore and to be honest I havent devoted that much time to them to try....

I was searching and dug this old horse up.

I just did my exhaust tips with Brasso and some of the ceramic stove cleaner that came with my Sears oven, and boy do they shine! I went over them a few times and only a couple of tiny areas on the edge, where they were cut from the factory, remain the hint of black. I went over them with Gold Class wax in hopes they will stay shiny for a few weeks.

Turtle Wax Bug And Tar Remover

Builtfordfast showed me this. I can't believe how well it works. Spray it on, let it sit for a minute and wipe it off. Mine were really bad, so they wouldn't come clean in one shot. I clean them every time I wash the truck, and each time they get a little bit better. Takes about two minutes.

I griped about the pitting on the front pipe to my dealer and he ordered me a new set. Worth a try.

Hello... my name is Rick... and I have been a Ceramabryte user...

Mothers Chrome Polish... I will never use Ceramabryte again... I even used it inside the pipes and the carbon build up took longer to adhear to the inside...

I am happy...

Nope, it was the Mag and Aluminum Polish, after that I used the NuFinish, then Windex to take of the residue..

I've just been using old towels... Afterwards I rinse them in my carwash bucket... I'd be dead if I even look at the clothes washer in the house.

There was an inexpensive kit at Wal Mart contiaining a high speed air tool with various attachments... it contained a buffing wheel that appeared to be just small enough to polish the inside of the pipes and use it on the outside too...

Just gotta make sure I don't go too fast and ruin the finish while I am at it... Hmmmm..... if I do that.... then I'll really HAVE to ge the MAC exhaust...

(Sounds like a plan)...

Ok guys, non lightning owner here (please be nice to me), I do own a 98 LD and an 02 GT anyway here's what I use, please try it and tell me what you think....Gel Gloss, it is a bathroom cleaner, works on chrome, fiberglass all kinds of stuff, it goes on easy, cleans awesome and leaves a wax like coating that lasts and lasts...try it and let me know what you think Sometimes the best products are products that aren't aimed at that particular application

I tried Neverdull on mine and did nothing. I don't think mine have been cleaned in years and it will take some elbow grease to cleand them. I'll try this Ceramabrite stuff.
