Fellas...Ive found the best exhaust tip polish around! Its called Quatar(pronounced "water") This stuff is amazing! My tips look chromed there so shiny! There is only one place here in town that carries it called Thunder 1 (biker shop). If you have a Harley Davidson shop around, they should carry it. Its an impregnated cotton strip, you just pull off how ever much you need. I think its $12.00,but lasts a long time. You may want to use rubber gloves when rubbing cause it really makes lots of that black tarnish residue and it'll get all over your hands. Ive used mothers, cerama bright, etc........This is by far the best Ive used. Hope this helps.
I'll try to post some pics later if I can borrow the neighbors digital camera.

MOCKLAB--cherry wet

I tried to order the Zany stuff but I was emailed back saying they wouldn't be shipping again 'til sometime in Nov. I have no patience. When I want to buy something, I want it now, so I got cherry wet 'cause I heard a lot about it too. Well, for sure it's easy to work with, very little dust, great shine. Tho' my L is pretty new I probably wash it too much and have already waxed it twice since June. I don't have a garage so I have the fine scratches, not bad but I'm **** so I see 'em. I want glass!!! So I should get it buffed, wrap it, and put it away. Anyway, the cherry doesn't seem to do a lot for those fine scratches but I don't think it claims to. It may after a couple uses. Like I said, I just got it and I did my wife's Landbruiser twice in one day and my L once the next so yes it's easy to use. That's a big plus. One thing that has turned me off to other products is that they require so much effort for so little results. If you can wait for the Zano, I'm sure that's great too, but sounds like more work. If your paint is in good shape you may not need that. MHO
Plus a gallon of cherry wet for 22.00 plus shipping? Duh!

Thumbs up

I've always used never dull (stuff we used in the Marines for our inspections). You can get it at Walmart for 2.50 a can and it has pre soaked cotton in it. All you have to do is rip off a small peice of cotton, rub it all over your tips, wait 30 seconds for it to turn white and wipe it off. This stuff will shine anything!!! Its quick and easy.

Forget the stock tips because you will eventually polish them down to nothing. Pop for the BABolt tips.

Skank Dog - I know you had the upper pulley already; what is your impression after the lower installed at Ennis? I dynoed at 400.0 rwhp after Ennis (A/F needs adjustment) and I'm looking for more before the bigger blowers come out.

I'd like to but can't seem to be able to get in touch with him.

BABolt, drop me an email sometime. It's in the profile.

I'd like a set as well, but I contacted him right after I got the truck (June 30), and I still haven't gotten a ship date yet. I understand he's going through a lot of stuff now, maybe he'll get back in the swing before long.

You guys and your 28 hour Zaino treatments just kill me. The way you describe how you do it is almost as meticulous as your actual application of it.

I should show you a picture of my Silver '01:

NEVER BEEN WASHED!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAH!

NeedFourSpeed- Dang man!!! Your pumpin' out the HP!! 400 rwhp is awesome!! After everything you've done to it, its about time you reached that mark. Im envious(spelling?)
In this cooler weather mine is just insane! It pulls ALOT freakin' harder now with the lower and chip reburn. Im tickled to death with it. The only problem I have is when Im lugging in overdrive and ease into the throttle, it pings on me, but only in cooler weather(65 or below it seems). How does yours run now compared to before? LOL! (dumb question I know) Just took my neighbor for a ride a few minutes ago.. He owns an '89 vette. Wish I had video of his head being pulled into the seatback from a 30 stomp up to about 80. I laughed so hard! He was very impressed and decided real quick he didnt want to run me anymore. LOL!!
Good to hear from you! Congrats on the 400 rwhp mark!!! Thats truly amazing!! Now your gonna make me have mine dynoed!!

I tried the ceramabryte today, and I have to say I was impressed with the results. However, there were still a couple of tough, stubborn spots that I couldn't get off no matter how much elbow grease I used. Silver_2000, what did you use to get yours so shiny?
