Talking FAQ FOR OUR BOARD UPDATE

Steve & I are resolving our differences for the good of the board. He has made some changes that I feel greatly make a difference. I will continue to work on the FAQ.

Right now they are all available. Pick any one (s) you want but post which ones you take here so we don't dupicate our efforts. I will periodicly shorten the list. In most instances it will not be necessary to search backwards more than one year (and in most cases 6 months) because of constant updated and duplicated material

I will annotate it with the topic assignments as they are taken.

Noelvm....

I will also shoot you an e-mail. I will take the following topics:
-Catback exhausts (I have researched the hell out of this before I got mine!)
-Intercooler leaks...since I previously took pictures for everyone to see, I will also keep those active as links.

OK Guys & gals if you look above you will see names out to the side of the topics that have been taken. Gordon it seems easier if I just anotate the above list so it will all stay on one thread.
Come on people. All you have to do is pick a topic, search for the threads, read them and write down the best 3 to 5 and send them to Jim. Post here what you want and I will add your name next to the topic in the above list.
Noel
As soon as we get thru conferring with Steve we will post a sample of what is needed. It is really quite easy.

I mean if someone ask a ? everyone will say look on the FAQ dumbass, or theres a search button search for it. **** people cant we just answer someones simple question. Ok if the FAQ gets put togeather who is going to maintain it and update it constintly so it is not out of date?

Heres an example of what we are looking for.

REMOTE ENTRY KEYPAD

The remote keypad can easily be installed in the 99 & 00 L; however the wiring connection in the door only exist in the 00. You will have to back wire for the 99. See https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/004829.html https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/004920.html https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/004833.html

(The easiest way to copy the addresses is to open an email to Jim and then minimize it. When you find a good thread, highlite the address line and then hit edit and copy. Open the email and paste. You can do this each time you find a good thread and paste to the email and then send to jim who will test and forward to Steve. You only need an opening sentence to show the title of your searches. Easy, huh!!! We need more volunteers.

The problem with the search engine is the default perameter is "entire message". If you click the arrow to the right and choose "subject only" you get a much better search although maybe not all, but still more usefull.
The default should be changed to subject only.

noelvm - I didn't see radar detectors listed but I'll go through and sort out what is on the board for this topic.
