I'll Take exhaust Tips and Bedliners.

Has anyone asked Steve if we can get better access to the Database for this purpose ?? It stops at 200 hits and with all the signatures that only goes back a couple months in some cases. If we could get access to a text dump we could use Grep or other more sophisticated searches to find all references to a topic. Then quickly cull the crap

For now, the "official" Lightning FAQ is http://www.webtechnik.com/Lightning. This is my own site, and is easier for me to work on.

At some point the FAQ may be brought over to F150online.com, once the initial development work is done.

In the meantime, Steve has linked to the webtechnik.com FAQ from here.

BadDog is correct.

It was starting to be a lot of work. To help Steve out, this seemed like the best way to go about it.

When everything has been completed, Steve will probably set up everything on our Board.

Noel

I haven't seen anything on the intercooler leak problem.

I'll go ahead and start that topic. IF someone is already doing it, e-mail me and I'll do another,

Need Help with 2001 research

I am working on the FAQ now. I have about 100 hours of mind numbing link fixing to do. Once that is done we will need to add info specific to the 2001's. I have already updated the price and specs.

We need you 2001 guys to research the stuff that is SPECIFIC to 2001 and put the links here

Subjects for all years that need info include
Lower Pulleys,
90 mm maf

Once I make some decent progress I will post a link to the updated FAQ

Thanks
Doug

Too you 2001 guys. Review the links for the past 6 months or whenever 2001 links started. When picking a link try to pick ones that deal primarily with one topic. Using a good description that is short and identifies the majority of the posts in the link make up a name for the link Example

2001 FRONT END CLUNK

Then copy the address while you are there. Highlite the address lne, click edit, click copy and then come to this thread.

Type the name you have made up, like above,

hit edit, hit paste and the link will be here for Doug to use.

Look here to see what topics have been covered. Multile links for the same topic are ok. Sometimes there is additional info in later links.

You shoud be able to find anything you need to add here by doing a search.

THIS IS A GOOD THING AND WILL HELP NEW L OWNERS BE ABLE TO GET A LOT OF THEIR QUESTIONS ANSWERED WITHOUT HAVING TO CONSTANTLY REPOST ON THE BOARD OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER, BELIEVE ME EVEN YOU NEW GUYS WILL GET TIRED WITH THE O2S COME OUT.
THANKS,

NOELVM

Guys, I have a subject for the FAQ.

In general, jacking points and safety when working on these trucks

Best places to jack the front and rear of the turck with a floor jack with pictures.

Best places to place jack stands under the front and rear with pictures.

Floor jacks, jack stands, ramps, and wheel chocks, what works and what does not or is unsafe.

The places where a sane person never places a jack or jackstand because it will cause damage or be a unsafe.

It sounds so simple, yet it really needs to be addressed.

Bumping this to TOP.

Mracer

The only documented info on Jacking is in the Owners manual.

Perhaps some folks have pictures of thier preferred lifting methods

I am about a third done updating the links and have posted the work in progress. A link is in the announcement at the top of the forum and here http://www.svtlightnings.com/faq1/faq.htm

Hi Silver_2000_!,

I was pretty sure that the floor jack, jackstands, lifting points, and support points has never really been covered.

A long time ago when I was a total L rookie, I asked the questions and got ridiculed pretty badly by a certain member who shall remain nameless (you know who you are).

I know some of the answers, but not all of them.
