Post chirped in third!!!

I know some may not believe it (i still cant) but on my way to work this morning, I came upon a slow vehicle (go figure, she was actually going 60 in 55mph freeway) I was going about 70, well floored it, went around here, when it hit third gear @ just over 80 ther rear tires "scratched"! They truck really hit 3rd gear hard. Never had that happen before.

Mine will scratch third regularly with a PSP chip and Level 10 shift kit.

Later,
Jake...

I got a reburned Swanson chip and asked Danny to "firm up" the shifts some more (already more firm than stock). Well, he did exactly what I asked of him. Mine will bark the tires from 2nd to drive every time if I have it to the floor. It will not break the tires loose very often from 1st to 2nd, though (it just leaps forward).
I have to say I was really surprised. I have ridden in vehicles with shift kits that did not shift this hard. Myself, I really like it. My wife does not like it much. I do have to admit, it would be a little "much" for just put-putting around.

I have a PSP chip and filter and I am lucky to barely even chirp 2nd. But then again since installation of the chip and filter I have not run under 90 degree weather. I think I need the Level 10.

So Yoda,

Did you put in a high stall converter or shift kit???? You seem to be awefully secretive.

Thumbs up

Yoda,

Awesome!! I'm sure you had a great time. That must be the pits to come back to this heat after that kind of weather.

Damn, I thought for sure you had put the bottle or high stall converter on. I didn't figure you would want to run in these terrible conditions. Tomorrow my Wife and I are heading up to Mormon Lake to go ride our quads for the day. Next Thursday after work I leave for a deep sea fishing trip in San Diego for the weekend. Maybe 8/25 we could hit the track. I've got my PSP 4 profile chip and have not had it to the track yet. Let me know.
