Lightningfest is something you plan to attend all year, you take vacation for, and borrow a trailer if needed. JDM day is a 1 day event and not worth my time to drive 1000 miles to attend.

I dunno where you guys ate BBQ out here, but it obviously wasn't the right place. You want real KC BBQ, you gotta find one of the Mom & Pop places that still do it right. A lot of the bigger joints round here have got that "We're in KC, we can cook it like **** and people will still think it's the best, just because it's KC" attitude, and it sucks, lol.
