I love both Gen 1's & Gen 2's!!! There both great trucks in there own ways!
Maybe in the near future MM&FF magazine will have something for the built Race Trucks.

 

They need to change it to a Saturday, and not have it on a Tuesday so more people like me can go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Maybe they will, but a lot of people need to realize, the Gen 2's haven't been out as long as the Gen 1's. I built my truck to be fast at the track but still enjoyable on the street. Nothing is better than a quick street vehicle. If you can't enjoy it on the street too than why bother is my way of thinking. Don't shoot me down for that...............

 

I think everyone should just be happy that MM&FF is covering our trucks for a change. I've got 43 issues at home and couldn't make a single truck issue with all of them combined. I'd personally rather see FTP magazine cover the event to help get the sales up.

 

I heard today that all trucks entered must be faster than 11.3??? is that true. or is it that the truck must run a 11.9 or faster to be considered. Just wondering here>>> If so it will be Gen II VS Jody 383svt shoot out!!! I was gonna slow it down to 11.501111111111111 due to safety equipment compliance..

I spoke to steve this weekend @ FF in richmond concerning the concerns we all have. we spoke for a good while. He is going to talk to Evan/Campy and see if maybe they can have something to include the race suspension set-ups..He said he dosn't know if they will, but atleast he will discuss the concerns the Lightning (Gen1,Gen2) Community have!..I also spoke to him about LF and i believe we might get some well deserved coverage this year!.. A member from the NLOC said that he heard something to that fact of a ET base. It could just be a rumor but who knows!!! I know that they don't want your average 12.90 street truck at this shoot out!!!

I'm gonna take a couple of pics of my engine bay and my interior Monday and submit my truck info. Ya think I should send pics of my battery/tranny cooler accessory bar ? Yea, I think I will. Anyway, I hope us DelValLO guys get picked for the gig. Even your 11.01 Farm Truck should make the scene !!!

 

Good news Johnny, maybe they could do a 2 part article, instead of doing gen 1 then gen 2 like last time maybe they could do street trucks then race trucks instead! Keep us posted!
